I made mine out of the free bunny from the website but I changed the face a bit though. Its my first time knitting a toy with DPN so I'm not good with fixing ladders yet. Ergh! I'm from the UK and just picked up any yarn from the market to make these. Can anyone recommend a yarn similar to the US Lamb Pride yarn?

3  Re: Felt Cakes! Now With Tutorial!!! in Completed Projects by samcee on: November 20, 2006 06:35:39 AM
Wow!! Thank you guys so much for the inspiration and tutorial. You guys are so talented!! I love all the ones shown on here. I actually have a Japanese craft book on how to make a cake but I couldn't understand how they put together the cream. So thanks a million for clearing that up for me.  Wink

This is my take on it and is my first EVER felt project. I'm making it for my bf for our two year anniversary as a surprise gift. Not sure if he'd like it or if it even looks like a cake. I'm really bad at this. Does anyone reckon I should add or take anything away? Too much cream? It looks a bit plain to me, esp the chocolate one. I would add a strawberry but I ran out of red felt. The ribbon isn't attatched yet so its a bit loose (I'm still deciding whether to add it or not).  Cheesy

Yep, I made this one for a boy and have made two more since then in boy colors

It is a super easy pattern, if you want the pattern, send me an email ,Jennickell@aol.com,(I only have it in a pdf file and havent quit figured out how to post a pdf to the web)

Wow! That blanket is super sweet!!! I love it!! I've been pondering for ages on what to make for my bf's baby boy cousin and this just seems perfect. Do you mind if I follow your pattern? I would really really appreciate it! =)
