I would be interested too. I run an online magazine in Jacksonville, CREATEjacksonville. I could advertise it there if it gets put together. Let me know.

28  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: help me! first art show on: May 22, 2006 07:43:39 PM
i know when i use to do art walks, i wanted to make sure that i had a lot of smaller items/ artwork and only a couple of larger items because people don't want to have to carry something huge around with them the entire night of the art walk. aside from that, displaying your work doesn't have to be difficult, a lot of people prefer to buy artwork that is unframed (even if its on paper) b/c then they get decide how it is framed later, and it will match their own style.
29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: some old paintings I got around to taking pictures of on: March 23, 2006 05:51:47 PM
wow. your paintings are so beautiful. how long have you been painting?
30  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: some abstract paintings on: March 23, 2006 05:46:55 PM
i do a lot of mixed media work, but i think these images are finished... i probably won't go back into these because i wanted them to be just about paint. however, i do agree that they would most likely be more intersting if they were mixed media. india ink would work to get some darker values. thanks for the suggestion. as for where i am going with this... the name of this series is Haze, so these paintings are supoose to embrace qualities of a haze ( foggy, unstable, unsure environment, and unpredictability).
