1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What Not to Wear: Barmitzvah Edition on: March 12, 2006 02:38:49 PM
OK, on the first of April I will be attending my friend's Barmitzvah. And I have no clue what to wear. I don't know how casual or formal to go, and I've heard there are rules about what things to cover and what not. So I've turned to you, dear craftsters, to find me a solution! Some past things you've worn, rules about colors and lengths, suggestions...

That is so adorable! Reminds me of stuff my grandma made me when I was younger! I'll have to make one for my cousin. Did it take long?

Thank you! They make very good presents, especially for those of us who are somewhat comic book nerds! Good luck! The tutorial really is great, and after my second time around I understood every step perfectly.

Spiderman! Wooohoo! Heh, that is really cool, which is the most fun you had with?

Putting the collage for the box together was less fun because my sister kept blowing everything away and causing me to start over...hehe... Angry...and the Spiderman wallet was stressful, because I had never made one before, so probably Donald Duck wallet. I love using it, too, cash register girls ask me where I got it all the time! I'm so proud when I say I made it.

I am TOO excited to show you all my latest (lame) creations. Here it goes.

ITEM #1: Spiderman Wallet

I made this sometime late last year, for my friend's birthday. It was very last minute and very INGENIUS, I must say, as she loved it, even though sometime later, as it was a first creation, it fell apart a little when in use. No worries! I got better. Plus, I made a free repair. That's service. This was made with the best tutorial on earth, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=9299.0. I would have more pictures, but I gave it to her a while ago!

ITEM #2: Donald Duck & Co Wallet

Made with the same tutorial as above, but this one for myself, as I was so impressed with the one I made my friend. Now everyone at my school wants one! Now that's crafting in action. Apologize for the horrid picture quality, my camera was having an off day.

ITEM #3: Zoo-Box Purse Insanity With A Hint Of ModgePodge Disaster!

OK, this one recently fell apart on me. Hmm. I sense a pattern. But I still love it and it's an easy fix anyway. I got a kiddy meal at the zoo, and it came in this loverly plastic blue...suitcase type thing. It was cheap, but I saw a new lunchbox of sorts, so I took it home, scraped off the lame stickers, mixed some glue with water and revved up my scissors. Only to unleash them on my poor magazines...cutting up your babies isn't easy. But I think it was worth it in the end!

That's all for now! But I hope to be uploading soon, because me and my sister are going to see who can make a better MORP Bag. Intrigued? You have to wait to see what it is!

Hah! Isn't it the best dress ever?
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: wishbone- caution, not for the faint of heart on: January 19, 2006 07:31:35 PM
Imma go hug my dog.

Pity that such a beautiful thing has to be inspired by such a horrendous one.

Pretty painting. Poor Wishbone.
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: John Mayer Swap? on: January 14, 2006 08:45:35 AM
I'd be interested, but I can't guarantee my participation. There's the parents to think of...I'm not sure how happy they'd be with it.
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: fosters home for imaginary friends swap? on: January 14, 2006 08:40:08 AM
I love the show, but I didn't catch the swap, and I for one would love it if I could participate in a FHFIF swap!
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Make Your Own ModgePodge? on: January 08, 2006 07:40:58 PM
Yes yes. I finished and if I do say so myself, it looks really good. For...me...I don't know. I'm proud.

I'll post pictures when I post my newest wallets...I'm so excited to get these pictures loaded!
