1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / More PJ Pants on: May 14, 2010 01:58:52 AM
I didn't use a pattern-just traced some existing PJ pants.  I like them with only seam on the legs so I cut each of the 2 pieces on a fold.  Easy peasy!

More on my blog!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Refreshed duvet cover and shams on: May 05, 2010 12:43:24 PM
I had a boring khaki duvet cover from L.L. Bean and decided to freshen it up a bit with some cute fabric I got at AC Moore.

Sewing a king-sized anything was just ridiculous at my little sewing table and there was lots of cursing involved and a little bleeding from the pins.  But it's done!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Route 66 on: May 05, 2010 03:46:49 AM
I made up this pattern as I went along.  It still needs buttons on the front but I had to strike while the iron was hot and take pics of DD while she was willing!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Fabric coasters from charm packs on: May 05, 2010 03:42:19 AM
I am lazy!  I bought these charm packs specifically for making coasters as a mothers' day gift.  They sewed up quickly-I used a thin flannel batting inside.  I'm not a quilter so they probably could be a little nicer but my mom will love them!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Butterick 3475 on: April 29, 2010 02:52:14 PM
Awesome pattern for a first timer with collars!

Easy to follow and only a few pieces.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / youcanmakethis.com Wrap Top and Pants on: April 22, 2010 03:53:59 AM
Edited to add:  Action shot!

I made these for my DD who is turning 5 on Sat.  She is not a girly girl at all so I chose a more edgy print for it.  The capris are just too-short pants from last year that I shortened and embellished with cuffs.  I also have to make a matching headband,

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Freezer Paper won't come unstuck! on: April 17, 2010 05:49:04 PM
I am using freezer paper for stenciling and I think I ironed it on too well and now I cannot remove it from the fabric.  Any suggestions?
8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Lengthening boys' shorts on: January 17, 2010 08:36:47 PM
I have a couple of pairs of denim and khaki shorts for my 3 year old son that have a lot more wear in them.  I bought some pirate and flame fabric to sew to the bottoms but I don't know how to go about it without making them girly.  Any suggestions?
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Windowless Craft Room Lighting on: September 01, 2009 06:32:36 PM
Can anyone make recommendations for making my craft room brighter?  It has no windows and I was wondering if I should splurge on OTT lites or soemthing similar?

I would love to see pics of your windowless craft rooms!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Sweater Surgey on: March 06, 2009 11:00:25 AM
Has anyone bought this book or made something from it?  I would love to see some inspiration.  I am about to go cut up a few sweaters in a moment!
