12  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Starting a New Skein on: December 23, 2005 09:03:49 AM
so this is probably somewhere...oh somewhere, but i couldnt find it. anyhow, a quick intro, a friend showed me how to knit...2 weeks ago and i am knitting a scarf! just a wicked easy one, back and forth and all that suchness, and im getting to the end of my skein of yarn! woo hoo! except im not done yet, so how do i put a new one on? do i just tie the new end to my old end? i found on one site that i should try to do this switching at the end of a row, but im not sure what the switching involves...  Tongue thanks anyone Cheesy
