1  tobias fnke action figure in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by enohpesrep on: January 14, 2007 03:01:52 AM
my boyfriend and i are david cross/arrested development fanatics.  after reading a discussion here about reconstructing ken dolls, i decided to give it a go and made a tobias fnke doll:

he's in his standard never-nude denim shorts, and is equipped with a framed photo of carl weathers.

it was really hard to remove the doll's hair in a horseshoe balding pattern style.  there was a row of hairs across his forehead that was impossible to remove, so we're pretending it's a reference to the hair plugs episode...

2  alex gray clock in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by enohpesrep on: October 23, 2006 10:33:54 PM
my boyfriend loves the artist alex gray.  (seriously, he hitchhiked to nyc in june just to go to his gallery- the 3 year anniversary of the gallery was on his birthday- june 3.)

soooo...yeah, i made him an alex gray clock in celebration of our one-year anniversary.

the hands aren't totally dead-center, which kinda bugs me, but it was a fun little project.

3  fun soap mold! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by enohpesrep on: September 14, 2006 02:11:30 PM
my boyfriend recently bought a jesus nightlight, and his plastic packaging was a perfect soap mold!
it's a bit more flimpsy than most glycerin molds, so it has started to look a bit wonky over time.  but we found the nightlight at the dollar store, so i might get another just for the mold.

you can see jesus on the right; he smells like cinnamon.
just thought i would share this fun lil tip with all you soapmakin' ladies.
