I got the kiln.  It weighs 4,058,492,649 pounds.  Smiley  We got the monster into my basement...now I have to try really hard to NOT be intimidated by this thing that has the ability to *melt glass*...

I think Bertha and I are going to be reallllly good friends.  As soon as I get up enough courage to be her friend!  Smiley

My poor husband.  I scored 12 huge stepping stones from Freecycle on the same day.  I made him do so much manual labor.  I paid him back tho. <wink>

OH....ya....anyone know how to work a kiln?  <snort>

AAAAAAAAAAAAAK!  I'm *in love* with the necklaces on that site!  IN LOVE!  I can't even believe that artisan is bringing in that kind of cash, however, for plastic gumball machine prizes strung onto chain!

Good thing:  I can do that too!   WEE!

::: off to find trinkets:::

I love love love love love love the unicorn necklace w/the appetizer sword on it.  Ima SO copy that.

LOVE your ideas!  I'm having a hard time finding a decent mold.  What did you use?  I've tried using ice cube trays, but my casting look like, well, ice.  Sad

I also tried the small artist's pallets, but they're too "domed"....

The candy molds I've seen at Michaels and Jo Anne's have had a really dumb smiley face in them.

I love playing with resin.  It's magic stuff, huh?

As you can see from my post below, I'm in Lansing too!  I'm into beads beads beads beads beads lolol.

But I also love mosaics....grouting is easier in the spring and summer, so I have about 9 zillion things to grout now.

I have a basement full of stained glass and all the stuff that goes with it.  My poor hubby.  If I start one more hobby, he's going to freak.

I'm also into anything glass, and I am a HUGE garden geek. If anyone wants perreneals <sp> , this spring, let me know!

  I love garden junk, I love making stuff out of junk!  Smiley

I would love to get some of  my stuff sold at a craft show, but there seems to be NONE here in Lansing.  Would anyone be interested if I organized one myself?  hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
