21  A whole garden...in GLASS! in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: May 16, 2008 02:25:15 PM
I made these pendants for a teacher friend of mine, who is going to give one to each of her colleagues, after, what sounds like .... ONE LONG SCHOOL YEAR!

I hope they all like them...I have such respect and gratitude for teachers.

23  Happy SPRING! Here's some new pendants from my kiln! ( 3 pics ) in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: March 26, 2008 03:40:29 PM
I've got it b-a-a-a-a--a-d.  Spring will never get here, it seems.  Michigan got dumped with another foot of snow, which is melting!  It's gotta get here soon!

Here's some newbies from my day of fusing:

24  Petit Fours - Candy Colored Fused Glass Pendants - WARNING: BRIGHT! in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: March 05, 2008 03:46:40 PM
I'm in the throws of SPRING FEVER!  We're gradually seeing this big, yellow, bright, warm thing in the sky here in Michigan...the sun?  Is THAT what it is?

SOooo..to honour this phenomenon we call Spring, or in Michigan, LATE WINTER...here's some candies.

I think these would look soooo pretty with a plain white top, or a cute sundress.

All of them:

25  Flowers. Sunshine. Love. What else is there? in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: February 28, 2008 12:57:59 PM
...well, there's also chocolate, but that's love, right?

And Ben and Jerry's ice cream...love.

I loooove this one, too.  These are millefiore that I've embedded in crystal clear glass, and then I wrapped the whole pendant with sterling wire.

I am thinking about a tattoo in this theme!  Smiley

...and these earrings kindasorta match:

26  Recycled Bottles = Groovy Beads = COOL earrings (4 pics ) in Beads: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: February 25, 2008 12:00:56 PM
So, I picked up these cool beads at a glass conference.  I'm in love with ALL of them, and in fact, have inspired a new "recycled" line in my studio...

Coke Bottle Beads...

Another shot of them hanging:

Beads made from a jar:

More bottle beads...these are my favorite beads, they're very rough, organic, natural and beachy:

The holes in these are SO wide that I used 5, yes FIVE headpins in each one!

27  COLOR COLOR COLOR! (or, I've got it bad..Spring Fever, that is!) ( 2 pics ) in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: February 23, 2008 10:58:12 AM
Ok ya.

This happens every year at this time.  Michigan winters are so brutal.  I need bright, happy, cheery flowers, and I need them NOW!

I made these pendants out of clear glass with millefiore sandwiched between.  I'm pretty thrilled with them, especially the orange one.  (I'm making one for myself right now!)   Grin

I like the way this pic turned out...

and here's a pic of them all laid out...

28  Darling Little Lily of the Valley Earrings in Beads: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: February 22, 2008 10:46:21 AM
Spring fever hits hard.   I got these beads last week, stashed them for spring, and couldn't resist making them into earrings.  Smiley

I took a couple of different angles, they just sooooo cute...

OK..here's the bottoms....

and...here's "how they hang" ...

29  Fused Glass Tree of Life with Tiny Copper Inclusions in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: February 22, 2008 08:15:18 AM
OK THIS is my new favorite.  I dig the coke bottle stuff, but this turned out SO groovy.

The little tree is made of TINY TINY slivers of copper.  Copper turns this magical rose color when fused.  This was a PAIN to make...hahaha!

But I'm very pleased.

The berries and buds are frit (tinnnnnny little powdered pieces of glass)  This was definitely a tricky one to make.

...and then I made 10 MORE!

30  Recycled Coke Bottle Fused Glass Necklace and Earrings ( 2 pics ) in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: February 21, 2008 01:05:19 PM
I am CONSTANTLY on the lookout for more things to melt in my kiln.   It's a sickness!

So...last night, I was rummaging through my treasures, and found, amongst my glass, some antique bottles that I hoard.

WHY NOT!??!?

So, today, ( and it took me ALL day )....I made these lovelies, and I couldn't be happier!

Tomorrow, I'm going to do beer and wine bottles for different color effects!

Here's the earrings:

And here's the necklace:
