1  Bird's Nests in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by TickleTickle on: April 14, 2015 11:29:08 AM
I also make a bunch of these precious little nests Smiley

My poor fingers have callouses in weird places from twisting wire 24/7 but these are so adorable.

I've been twisting wire like crazy to get ready for Mother's Day!

Here's my haul so far, and I have much more to go.

Do you like?

3  Fused Glass Aspen Birch Tree Panel in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: October 02, 2011 07:14:28 AM
I was NOT sure about this one when I put it in the kiln last night.  It looked like a giant mess of broken glass.  LOL!

The glass faeries came last night in my sleep, and I was delighted to see what happened...this will be fired once more to clean up the edges, now I need some advice.

Should I put this in a frame, so it can be hung on the wall, or should I put it on a stand, so that it can be displayed on a tabletop?

4  Fused Glass Tree of Life Pendants in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: September 16, 2011 12:56:01 AM

My very favorite thing to make.  These are buggers to make, I usually end up scrapping over half of the batch for one reason or another...usually huge huge bubbles.   But when they DO turn out, the results are wonderful!

5  Happy Halloween! I made candy corn...in my kiln! in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: August 30, 2011 05:22:49 PM
OK I KNOW these look really simple..but they're NOT!  First, the colors have to be right on, and all of the colors need to be uniform, and the shape has to be symmetric...and these are TINY.  I nearly go buggy-eyed every year making these buggers!  I also wire wrap them because adhesive tends to dry and become brittle when left in a jewelry box for a long time..and nobody's going to wear these all year.  I love these little sweeties!

6  Simple, Simple, Simple...Millifiore Pendant.. in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: August 15, 2011 06:39:19 PM
The photo here was more difficult than the pendant itself.  A simple project, but always turn out lovely!

7  Little Pondscape Pendants! yummmy! in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: August 13, 2011 10:56:12 AM
*sigh* I love you, glass.   Last week, I made oodles of sunflower pendants, this week I tried these pink ones with the same design idea...now I love these! They remind me of teeny tiny little lily pads in a pond!

8  Sunny Sunflower Fused Glass Pendant in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: August 11, 2011 05:35:15 AM
These were fun to make!  I made 10!!! haha!

First, I made a test piece and posted an informal poll on my Facebook page...wasn't so sure about the shape.  I didn't grind the into a perfect circle...kind of left them organic...let the glass do what it wanted to do.

I was happy that my FB friends voted for the organic shape.  Smiley  What do you think?

10  Glass Drape Vase EEK! I've been gone sooo long! in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by TickleTickle on: July 26, 2011 08:18:13 AM

This is a fused glass drape vase.  I'm on a kick!  I think I've made 10 of these now! LOL!

First, I cut and design the glass, and fuse that....then i drape this over a mold, and let the heat of the kiln do it's work.  The trick here is in STOPPING the fusing process at exactly the right time.
