1  Joker T-shirt in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ElectricBlue22 on: July 21, 2008 11:38:38 AM

My boyfriend and I made matching joker shirts last night after seeing The Dark Knight.  I only got a picture of mine, but I'm wicked proud of it so I just HAD to post.  The glossy-finish paint doesn't really show it's true colors in the picture, the hair and eyes are nice and vibrant in person.  I think I've finally figured out how to get stencils to show up on black t-shirts...hurray!!!

Thanks for Looking!!!  Grin

It's been ages since my last post, but I'm really proud of this one.  It's a late Christmas present for my boyfriend.  I actually started it in the middle of December but just finished it this morning .  I'll try to get some better pics with his camera after he unwraps it:P.

Thanks so much for looking, It's good to be back. Grin

3  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by ElectricBlue22 on: December 23, 2006 07:57:10 PM
It's been a while since I posted to this thread, but since I decided to do something that's asked about lots (going more than four shades lighter at home), I thought I'd post pics before I asked my questions.

I started here (hi-octane orange over faded red and black hair)

After three days of chemicals and a few protein treatments, here I am

It turned out to be the hardest hair color EVER to take a picture of...as you can tell by my washed out skin and greenish tinge to the hair.  The one on the left is closest to my real color.  I think it came out pretty good considering I saved 100 bucks doing it at home.  (there's not that big of a color difference all the way down the hair either...my camera's just stupid)

I don't know if I love it or hate it, we'll see once I figure out what kinda make-up and clothes go with such a drastic color change...(suggestions for that would be very welcome)...although my hair isn't damaged at all considering, a haircut is in order...  Would it look ok if I cut my hair off right at the shoulder and then shortened up the layers just a little?  Maybe trim the bangs too?

Sorry to ramble...it's just that I haven't had blondish hair in more than three years...and I'm finding myself a little lost...THANKS FOR READING Grin

I got my hair cut short a few weeks ago...it's in messy layers and barely below my shoulders right now...Right away I wanted to try the cute-puffy look I've been seeing everywhere...but my hair just won't backcomb or hold any lift without turning into a mess...it's wavy and poofy...If anyone else has this problem...a waffle iron (I think that's what it's called...it was a freebie plate with my straightner/crimper/thing) is your friend...

My hair after and before (pardon the crappy before pic...I didn't take too many of this haircut yet...)

and if I don't want the frizzy look...I just straighten the top layer and brush it down over the rest...and it works great...would probably look better if my hair was all one length though...

But while I'm here...in another week or so I'm gonna be due for another haircut...if anyone has any suggestions, that'd be great! Grin

5  Re: 2006 Completed Costumes Scrapbook! (completed project pictures & links go here!) in Halloween Costumes by ElectricBlue22 on: October 29, 2006 11:06:32 AM
I'm not sure if anybody at college will "get it"...but I'm supposed to be a jailhouse rocker...  I just stenciled the black lines on a polo...painted the numbers on a scrap of black denim and stitched it onto the jacket...

Ignore the weird faces...my little sister kinda attacked me with the camera Tongue

I also took a pair of handcuffs, separated them and added about 10 inches of chain...that way they'll hang out of the jacket in a goofy theatrical way...(sadly I made those after the pics were taken...)

I haven't decided if I wanna be a slicked back clean criminal who just waltzed out of jail...or if I wanna cover myself with dirt, blood and bruises as though I had to actually work to get out...haha

I love this thread...it's given me enough inspriation to last a whole lifetime of halloweens!...can't wait to see what the rest of the "last minuters" like myself have come up with... Grin

6  Re: The Duct Tape/Packing Tape/Paper/Chain Wallet Quest! (IMG HEAVY) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ElectricBlue22 on: October 15, 2006 05:58:01 PM
Neat! How did you get the ring for the chain on there? I've tried to do that with a few wallets, but they don't turn out too well... Sad

I just used my 8$ eyelet tool I got from walmart...I'd found the rings at a yardsale and it was pretty easy to open one up with pliers, slip it through the eyelet, and pinch it shut...so far it's been holding up nicely

I made this Kingdom Hearts wallet earlier today in my quest to avoid homework...I added the eyelet...but I'm not sure if I'm going to add the ring and chain yet....

Wow...I love everybody's hair here...it's so creative, like a breath of fresh air. (I come from a land of bleached blondes and fake tans...)

Anyway...here's my hair on a good day...

I'm turning 18 in a little less than a month...and I want to try something different with my haircut...I know better than to try something mature looking, as I look about 15 or so...I've never had it cut below my shoulders (other than that little fringe I chopped by my chin)...There's another little catch...I happen to have rather asymmetrical ears...

Ever since I can remember, when people can see my ears they come up and pull on them and tell me I look like an elf or comment on how big they are...(even adults do this which amazes me) so I kinda wanna keep my ears hidden

So if you skipped the story...really thin hair...funny ears...help me out pretty please?
(end ramblings)

Man this boy must be thick in the head...(not even a second glance...)
Oh well...he looks like harry potter so I'll come up with another nice t-shirt attempt which I'm sure I'll share with you all later...

...but I believe I promised a stencil, did I not?
