1  Re: Fitted Knits-along ? in Knitalongs by kreedance on: November 10, 2007 01:34:33 PM
So I am in the process of knitting the Texured Tunic.  And actually for the second time, since I didn't gauge correctly the first time around, and not including the fact that cotten stretches!  This is about the place where I started over:

I just finished the textured band!

This is the V-Neck Pullover from the same book:

2  Kimino Needle roll for Newbie Swap in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by kreedance on: August 20, 2006 10:12:28 AM
I made this needle roll for my partner, she liked Japanese themes and pink and green were her first and third favorite color.  This was the first time I ever used bias tape (the gold trim on the 'obi' belt on the outside and the pockets on the inside.)  Not as easy as I thought!  I feel in love with the color schem and I'm glad I got more material than I needed for this project!

It's hard to tell, but under the green ribbon used to tie the roll together is the blue ribbon with the gold bias tape at the edge.

3  Re: Newbies Only Swap! in The Swap Gallery by kreedance on: July 31, 2006 08:39:56 PM
                                             I'm
                                              in
                                          LOVE!!!!!

So I got to meet my swap buddy tonight at the local SnB, and I'm totally in love with everything KristyGuna gave me.  She gave me not one, not two, but all three items on my wish list!   And a bonus needle roll.

Here are all the goodies together:

I had requested a bag, handspun yarn and journal.   There is a skein of hand spun yarn in multiple colors (LOTS of colors).  The needleroll, journal and bag are part of a matching set, made from the same houndstooth material.  And they all have a celtic button on them, my favorite design!  She said that the incredibly brilliant yarn was to balance the black and white of the other goodies.

Here is the inside of the bag, can you see all of the pockets?  This is the perfect size for my necessities, plus my lunch, tatting projects and new journal:

This is the needle roll opened up, there are three rows of pockets and a ribbon to tie sitch counters on.

Thanks again KristyGuna, you did a great job and see you next month!

And thanks again to Stifflersmom and animegirlie for putting together the swap.  I'm going to sign up for more swaps!

I made this little bag out of cotton crochet thread.  It was intended to be for my cell phone, but the dimensions worked better for my camera!

6  Missy Felted Bag in Knitting: Completed Projects by kreedance on: June 07, 2006 01:21:45 PM
I posted this message looking for a specific bag:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=97597.0 and wouldn't you know it someone found the bag I was looking for!   I used the Missy Bag Pattern.

Here is what it looks like before felting:

And here it is after hand felting in the bathroom sink.

I didn't think to put something next to it for scale, but it felted (fulled?) very nicely.  I'm not sure if I like the straps so long, maybe I will shorten them.

7  Looking for two looped shoulder bag pattern in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by kreedance on: May 25, 2006 09:11:08 PM
Hi, I saw someone with this knitted bag and I want one!  It is a shoulder bag with two loops, one long and one short, the long loop goes through the short loop.  I made an etch-a-sketch drawing of what it looks like.  Has anyone seen this and know of a pattern?  I could probably make one up, but you know, it's easier if someone else has  Tongue

8  Little Doily in Crochet: Completed Projects by kreedance on: May 12, 2006 08:50:57 PM
This is my first crochet project, I sould have picked something easier than working with a small needle and size 40 thread!  I think I should have used a larger needle as the stitches seemed scrunched.

9  Tatted Snowflakes in Needlework: Completed Projects by kreedance on: May 12, 2006 08:47:25 PM
I don't know what category this falls under, but I wanted to show you the difference a few months makes.  The first picture is of a snowflake I made around Christmas and the next pic is the same pattern I finished last week.  I taught myself from a book, so I'm sure my technique isn't, well, traditional.
