11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Small buy nothing swap round 4 on: September 11, 2009 08:29:37 AM
So my hubby finished his box of cereal today, and it turns out is nowhere near large enough  Cheesy  I must have been estimating the box size first thing in the morning lol...so still searching for something to send this stuff in!  There's lots of pieces in all different shapes/sizes, so it's difficult!

Your sock monkey looks great!  I checked out the craft hope site, and decided to get in the action myself Smiley  Thanks for sharing!  This seems like a great opportunity to help out people with my skills, and minimal money.  Grin

Hehe don't feel bad, all I'm doing lately is sitting at home crafting, so you could call it my full-time job  Cheesy  I may wait till closer to the end to send, because as I've noted before, I am fickle and may change my mind on some items  Tongue

I might be in for this swap as well...I was just diagnosed with PCOS and need to get my diet/exercise under control.  Could definitely use some crafty motivation!

I'm at about the same point as Hollistercobabe...I think I'm done, just trying to see if there's anything else to throw in.  Also, I don't have a box yet  Cheesy  I think I've determined that the cereal box my husband is almost through will work perfectly, so just a few more days!   Grin

Is anyone else finding it difficult to not buy stuff for this swap!? Every time I get an idea of what to make, I realize I don't have a zipper, or the right fabric, etc...it's challenging but fun!  Luckily I do have a sizable craft supply stash, so things are coming along Smiley

I have one thing done, another about 1/2 done...but I'm totally indecisive, and knowing me, I'll end up sending completely different things in the end  Cheesy

19  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / How to wrap diaper wreaths? on: August 30, 2009 06:59:48 PM
Hi Everyone,
I love the diaper wreaths I've been seeing on here and other places.  My friend is having twins, so I decided to make her 2 diaper wreaths for her upcoming baby shower, one pink and one blue (she's having 1 boy and 1 girl, natch Cheesy).

My question is, how do I "wrap" them?  Do I just bring them into the shower as-is, or find a HUGE gift bag, or what?  For all of the tutorials and photos of diaper wreaths I've seen, I've never seen a way to present or wrap them.

Any suggestions are appreciated!  Thanks!  Grin

Ooo! Ooo!  Me!  I've been drooling over slouchy knit hats lately...I normally don't wear hats, but I think they're super cute, and would give me something to cover the many bad hair days I encounter (and my husband is a hairstylist...what's up with that?!)

No kidding. If your husbands a stylist you should just make him take care of any bad hair days!

Yeah, I know...but he works hard all day, plus is going back to school for computer networking, so I don't have the heart to ask him to do my hair everyday Smiley

I am so excited about this swap! Is it really nuts of me that I am stalking each new person as they sign up and trying to figure out what I would do for each!?  LOL   I have several ideas that I can get started and then customize for the individual craftster!!

I totally do this too!  It's fun haha
