21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: *pointy kitty* on: April 11, 2006 09:31:45 AM
I love this kitty - and it was soooo nice of her to share it with us for free!!!!!!  I look at her site all of the time....anywayyyyyyyyy - what in the heck did I do wrong?  The body of my kitty looks great - the HEAD is another story.   It is sooooo big that when I sewed it on, the poor thing fell over.  It was good for  a huge laugh, but I really wanted this kitty to turn out!  What did I do wrong?Huh?

Would love to see patterns like they have in the japanese craft books.  I am too dumb to be able to order the darn books via the websites because I cannot figure out how to get the prices, etc. in english!
Also......wawaya has a website where she makes these very cool sort of bunny/animal thingees.  She has a message going on craftster as well.  It would be cool to have a pattern on something similar to this type thing.  Thanks for the patterns you have already put up here.  I'm going to try them this weekend!

I am from Cincinnati.  If you find a source for the Japanese books, please let me know and I will do the same for you!

WHOA!!!!  I love em!!!!!  They are so detailed!
My daughter draws and has done so for years.  She is 14 and I took her to an art school to see if she has real talent and they said she would be a good animator!  How did you get started?
You certainly have talent!

WOW.....you have true talent!!!!  I went to your crafty journal and read the stipulations in order to view the pattern, but it still would not allow me to???
Keep up the good work - it is awesome!
27  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / angel patterns on: June 08, 2005 09:44:38 AM
Does anyone know where to find old patterns?  I had a pattern about 10 years or so ago and it was for an angel.  There were actually several angel patterns available.  The company was Cranberry something but they are not in business any longer.  The pattern used a wood ball for the head and stood on a base.  Any ideas on where to search for out and or outdated no longer in production patterns?  As usual, thanks for all the crafty advise!
28  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Little Souls Dolls on: June 06, 2005 10:14:13 AM
Does anyone know where I can get a pattern (does not have to be free) for the soft sculpture type doll (not Cabbage Patch).  I have bought several Little Souls dolls and love their faces and bodies.  I want to make my own version of this doll.  Thanks for any help!
29  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: The Polka Dot Handbag on: March 07, 2005 09:43:03 AM
Thank you!  I can't believe I didn't think of that!  I get all weird and try to follow the pattern exactly without "using my brain" to do it my way.  Thanks....I'll dig out my pattern and try again! Undecided

Wow....LOVE your bag!  I bought the same pattern months ago and have tried to make the darn thing 3 times!!!!  I cannot get the handles to work so I rolled it all up and stuck it in the closet! I am a mediocre sewer...not a beginner but this has me stumped! Any tips?  You did an excellent job!
