1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Clothespin Dolls/Peg Dolls on: February 02, 2009 09:56:43 AM

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Clothespin Dolls/Peg Dolls on: January 23, 2009 10:03:21 AM
Has anyone seen patterns for clothing etc. for all of the new wood dolls that are on etsy and such?  They are so cute.  They have round balls for their heads, and are much cuter than the old fashioned ones where you actually used the head of the clothespin for the head.  The ball fits over the head.  You paint up the thing to make her real cute.  I am having trouble making the eyes and hair just right (you paint them)....and getting the dress to flow right.  Sent away for a kit, but it didn't help much!
3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Favorite Supply Sources/Resources for felt making on: April 09, 2007 04:39:23 AM
New at this, but can someone tell me where I could order bear patterns and mohair in US?  Thanks!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Huge Amy Butler Bag/ set on: October 13, 2006 06:31:50 AM
I sew and I buy Amy's fabric....it isn't cheap!  And you have a lot of hard work into that.  I see plan old flat bags that are not attractive at craft shows for $50.00!  Your set should be $75.00.  Look at some of the etsy shop purses that people have for sale....you are NOT charging enough.  Oh...and great job - they look very nice and sturdy.  You must use great interfacing or something.
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Amy Butler+Sublime Stitching= Cute quilt! on: September 27, 2006 08:18:25 AM
What a great job!  You should be very proud of yourself.  I have just started into quilting (because I love fabric and need yet another reason to buy it!).  It looks like you hand quilted it.  If I am correct, I am wondering if it was hard as it got bigger and bigger to quilt it and if so, did you use a large hoop or frame or something?
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Bragging - Wee wonderfuls stitchette on: August 29, 2006 07:32:15 AM
Wow!  I bought those patterns and my stitching is.....BAD!  May I ask what size needle you used and how many strands of floss?  Yours are so perfect!  I was going to put 4 together for a pillow too but can't find anything for the other squares.  Although, if my stitching doesn't improve, I won't need to worry about it!
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Glass Marble Magnets on: August 03, 2006 04:47:25 AM
Thanks McJulie-O!  My marbles came from WalMart and Walgreens and the scheen was a problem!  I will try getting them at Hobby Lobby - even though I promised myself not to try this mess again! lol
I used the 6000 glue also and on the pages from the magazine they didn't smear, but the ones I printed out did smear!

UGH!  Another failure.  Mine came out horrible.  I tried to use Beatles pics from a Readers Digest.  Maybe because they were black and white, but they didn't come out good at all.  I bought the glass marbles at WalMart.....they didn't seem clear enough.....bought some different ones at Michaels.....not clear enough.  I don't know what I did wrong but I have spent a fortune...and they look BAD!

emo glasses?  ha ha - what is that?Huh?

My mother was the cafeteria manager for years and years - up until about 8 years ago.  If you ever remember to, ask your mother if she knew "Charmaine" (which happens to be my name too!

The Melbourne event....do you have to know how to knit?  Probably, so I better take classes first!
