I have been trying to figure out what to do with a bunch of my father's ties. He loves to cook, so I think he would love it if I did something like this.

Thank you for the inspiration.

27  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Flowergirl Wedding Jewelry on: July 08, 2008 11:12:21 PM
I got a call a month or so ago from a frantic bride. She could not find children's jewelry that she liked for her flowergirls. Since I was a bridesmaid...I said I will fix it. She had three flower girls that were quite young and one Jr. Bridesmaid that needed a bracelet and necklace done up in pearls. This is what I came up with.

Hey there lady,

I have a few pics I took before I sent it. I thought it might be easier for you. I am really glad you liked it.

background info:  She loves purple and bling...and her first name begins with C.

Top of the Pin Cushion

Side of the Pin Cushion. I had this bling ribbon for years waiting for the right project.

Bottom of the Pin Cushion. -  It was a fuzzy fabric to add fun and allow it to slide and not scratch surfaces. I also added beans to the bottom to give it weight.

30  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Office Chair Make Over on: July 08, 2008 10:38:09 PM
I got bored with my office chair, so I reupholstered it. I have seen it done, but never done an office chair. It was more complicated than I expected, but I think it still turned out nice. I forgot to take a before picture, but it was just an ugly grey/black basic office chair. I redid it in a fabulous khaki linen weave and the back is a floral that is on a matching chair in my room.

Front

Back

Chair that I wanted it to match..."the very expensive dog chair" that it has become.
