This is the transformed Open Source Sewing Laboratory on wheels, otherwise known as freeSoftwear! we turned a shopping cart into a cutting table. we fixed up an old mechanical sewing machine and put wheels on the bottom. the banners say 'Costura de Código Abierto' (Open Source Sewing, in Spanish) and 'fer la teva propia roba es terrorisme' ('making your own clothes is terrorism', in Catalan) both banners sewn from recycled fabric. every Monday we take the Lab out on the street and invite the city to come make pants skirts hats bags sheets underwear.... with us!
what do you guys think?
the third photo i posted is the laboratory in action. this is the first project i am posting on craftster. i have more photos of projects we've been doing in the lab. I'll post more soon.

el transformado Laboratorio de Costura de Código abierto sobre ruedas. con un carro de supermercado cortado y convertido a mesa de cortar. con una maquina antigua, arreglada y puesta sobre ruedas. con pancartas de tela reciclada: Costura de Código Abierto y 'Fer la teva propia roba es terrorisme ('hacer tu propia ropa es terrorismo' en Catalan). Cada lunes salimos con el taller y invitamos la ciudad a coser pantalones, faldas, gorros, bragas, savanas....con nosotros!
que opinais?
la tercera foto enseña el taller en acción. es el primer proyecto que subo a craftster. tengo mas fotos así que pronto subiré mas de lo que hacemos.
