1  Plethora of cocktail hats in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: March 16, 2010 10:55:08 AM
I'm thrilled with how these little hats turned out!
They have stiff felt (2 layers) for the base, so they're nice and sturdy feeling.
I'd love some feedback, since I plan on making more soonishly.

My personal favorite:

3  3 new gothic shrugs in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: September 17, 2009 04:38:50 PM
In the spirit of Halloween I made some gothic above-the-bust shrugs!

This one I made a skull heat transfer for the back and designed it like a cameo Smiley

Burgundy shrug with lacey sleeves

And finally a black shrug with corset lacing in the back

Thanks for looking! Cheesy

4  Gothique capelet with back corsetted detailing in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: July 27, 2009 04:14:19 PM
This is my latest creation, I would love some feedback on it! It's a capelet with *faux* gathered sleeves that add an extra sense of structure. I ruffled 9 yards of lace myself and sewed it around the edges and added corset lacing in the back!

As always, any feedback is very much appreciated, I'm always looking for new ideas! Cheesy

5  Manson skirt! in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by Maliaka on: July 14, 2009 12:57:28 PM
I'm new to these transfers but think they are AMAZING! This is the first project I've completed with them Cheesy

I used the kind of transfers for colored fabric but ended up printing it on white fabric in the end, once I realized that it really doesn't work if you use black Sad But I found a way to make it work! I printed it onto the white cotton, then cut around the edges so none of the white showed, and then zig-zagged it onto my skirt, and it worked great, yay!! Smiley

7  Babydoll shirt and Blue ribbed tube top! (huge pics!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: January 20, 2008 03:04:40 PM
'Ello you lovely Craftsters!  Kiss It's been a while since I posted anything!

Here are my latest two shirts! My adorable friend Tracy is modeling them in the pictures  Grin Oh, and sorry the pics are so huge, I'm lazy, ok? Haha!

This is a puff sleeved shirt with a little removable bow on the side! I used pretty thermal fabric for the bandings from ill-fitting PJ's I had for YEARS that I never knew what to do with, so I'm excited to finally have something to show for it!

This is a dark blue ribbed tube top with stretch lace on the top, very simple, but really classy looking I think! Tracy had the great idea to wear her belt with it and I think it looks so stylish!  Cheesy

Thanks for looking!

8  Black & White Gingham Corset Top W/ Bat Appliqué! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: November 24, 2007 12:00:33 PM
Hellos! This is a corset top made out of solid black and black & white gingham cotton, with muslin lining. I used bias tape for the top and bottom (how convenient I just happened to have black & white gingham bias tape on hand for the bottom!! That NEVER happens, haha!) It has a sweetheart neckline and a hand-stitched red bat appliqué on the bottom, which I think is the cutest thing ever - I've wanted to do appliqués for YEARS but never got around to it, haha!

9  Super Twirly Red and Black "Bat" Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: November 23, 2007 05:47:15 PM
My oh my, it's been a while!

This is a dress I made for someone, and I think it came out loverly!

It has a stretch black bodice, lace detail on top of bust, a SUPER pleated red skirt with bat felt appliqué. Oh, and I made a matching belt out of the same red fabric, with bias tape edging, a hook & eye closure which is HIDDEN underneath the huge bow! Oh, how I love it! I want one for myself!  Wink

Onto the pictures - click on the thumbnails to see the huge versions:

As always, I LOVE hearing what you guys think!  Kiss

10  Just wrap me up in a bow... (new shrug and skirt inside!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Maliaka on: September 24, 2007 11:22:53 AM
....because I feel like a Christmas present in my new outfit! These are my new favorite things to wear, I love 'em!

I made this shrug out of awesome fabric that is amazing because: it's my favorite color, it's a little sheer which I love, it was a DOLLAR a yard, AND my serger seems to LOVE it (I don't even have to go back and reinforce the stitches on my sewing machine!)  Cheesy I did mess up on one of the sleeves though, when I accidentally got some of the sleeve caught in the seam when I sewed the band onto the bottom, so there's a little pleat where it doesn't belong, grrr.

And this is my new favorite skirt! It's a little less than a half-circle, so it's still a bit twirly, but not bulky, which I like. The waist band is stretch lace, but I forgot to take a picture of it, and it's too bad you can't see it when I have it on...

I've worn this outfit 2 days in a row so far and I don't plan on taking it off any time soon!  Cool

Sooo, what'cha think?
