Have you tried any of the Japenese food stores in your area, or even sushi stores?  There is one in particular in my area and they sell great Japenese art postcards that you can frame up nicely.  As well I picked up both a Japenese colouring book and a Japenese stencil book while i was there - going to make embrodiery patterns with them!  Both books are by Dover publications, so you might be able to find another store that carries them.

Thanks for some great ideas!!! My fiance and I are having a celtic wedding as well - the entire groom's party in kilts!! We are having problems coming up with celtic inspired favours, any ideas?
443  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re:How about a tie skrit??? on: March 23, 2004 11:12:01 AM
or you could make it fasten like a kilt - so it has to overlap a bit. sew on buckles and take some of the smaller ends of the tie, put little grommets in it to make the strap.........just an idea.

you know the styrofoam you get with certain vegetables (and the stuff that meat comes on ,although I wouldn't use that)  can be used to make shrinky-dinks as well.

someone said how 'bout wallets?

A guy I know makes them using a very similar process, along with notebooks, sketch books etc. No two are the same. Recently he started making wallets of photocopies/prints of artists work to sell at their shows.  Just had to add my 2 bits lol.
