Here he is, in all his glory, Mr. Bibbles (Bibbs for short) the evolved Tribble!!! (i am such a geek....)

So I tried straight black food colour - I painted it on and left it for around 20+ minutes then I washed off the residue, and it promptly faded to this pinky, bruised kinda colour, as you can see.  It was an infinity symbol.



So much for that idea - but maybe if I leave it on longer, say a couple of hours?

The hubby and I are thinking of getting matching tattoos (CUZ WE ARE SO CHEESY!)  of a snake in the shape of the infinity sign (also know as ouroboros) with celtic knotwork down its back.  Reasoning for it - we breed and raise snakes, he is in mathmatics, well the infinity thing is self explanitory, celtic knotwork because I am scottish and he likes celtic stuff and the ouroboros is also the Aes Sedai ring (if you are a Wheel of Time fan) We may do the two snake shape (ie. there are two of us AND it looks like the medallion from The Neverending Story - ahh gotta love our geekiness).

The 100 vanilla and coconut dusted cupcakes were made by our local family bakery and we placed them on Martha Stewart cake stands. (Cost: $130 delivered!)

i love the cupcakes! i want my wedding cake this way too.. in here, they bring a big huge fake cake which has only one layer of real cake for the bride and groom to cut it and eat it and then  they prepare the slices of cake for the guests.. but this way is just soooooooo cute. i want it !

I had cupcakes too!!  The day before the wedding we had a movie/cupcakebaking/flower arranging get together with the female half of the bridal party.  We (well mostly my bridesmaid Amelia) baked over 100 cupckaes and one small cake.  We bought the icing from a cake store (mmm buttercream) and iced them the next morning.  I iced the cake in a simple basket weave and added a tartan ribbon.  We found nice gold muffin liners for the cupckes.  We also rented the tiered cake stand instead of buying one.



The cupcakes are uneven on the stand because our guests decided to help themselves before pictures and the "cutting of the cake" happened

Here is like the easiest thing ever...

Take a scarf--this is an old one from Goodwill.  Tie ends to the hairband and adjust to your headsize, and you have a scarf that will stay in place!  and without sewing and you can adjust the width and everything.

*sigh*  if only I had come across this post BEFORE getting rid of my goodwill "made from too slippery material" scarves........must buy more........

SO I invited my friend from outta the country to spend Easter with my husband and I and his family.  And I knew he and I would get chocolate so....knowing she is picky about her chocolate I decided to make her a stuffed bunny. But I was low on time so I bought a thrift store bunny and revamped her to suit my friend.



She has a velvet circle skirt with lace edge, tulle underneath.  A bright pink felt tube top, with flower button.  And she is accessorized with a scarf, ear ribbon, pearl bracelet and pearl captive bead earring.
