1  Bows - Where do you get the centerpieces of your bows from? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by BrightEyedandCrafty on: June 29, 2007 03:25:30 PM

So, in some hairbows, there is a little button type thing right where that brown thing is in the middle.

Like maybe a little Hello Kitty face, or a strawberry or something.

My question is, where do you get these button things from?

2  Re: The Photoshop Thread in More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions by BrightEyedandCrafty on: June 22, 2007 06:55:16 PM
Okay, this makes it a bit better.

I do this alot.

If a picture becomes blurry after enlargement, I go Adjust then Add/Remove Noise then Edge Preserving Smoothness.

Set the slider to whatever looks natural.

So if you needed a yahoo logo enlarged 250% from this size:

But it got blurry when it was enlarged, you could do the above mentioned. Here's what I came up with:

I really hope this helps!
Let me know if I explained it horribly! =]

4  Just Learned To Knit - My New Scarf - Opinions Please - 2 Pictures in Knitting: Completed Projects by BrightEyedandCrafty on: November 05, 2006 07:14:01 AM
So i'm 12 years old and i've always wanted to knit and last year for Christmas my grandma gave me a book. I never understood the cast on part so I got a book from the library with simple directions. I kind of combined those two books to learn how to know. The other week I used super super small needles and made my little sister a scarf. It took forever. Well I got big needles and this weekend I made a scarf for me! My needles are size 17 by the way. It's not really going to keep me warm but I still love it.

How do you think I did. This was my second real project.

5  Rawr! Dinosaur Earrings! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by BrightEyedandCrafty on: September 30, 2006 05:46:33 PM
Yay! So I have way too much fun jabbing hot metal through plastic stuff. I found a bag of 48 little dinosaurs for a dollar at the dollar store! I had some chain earrings I already made that I was going to put guitar picks on but I decided that plastic stegosauruses where way cooler. Tell me what you think!

I needed a big needle since the chain is so thick so I got my moms meat sauce injector thing. (Think flu shot needles but about 100 times bigger.) Any comments are appreciated.

6  Retro Earrings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by BrightEyedandCrafty on: September 10, 2006 07:10:52 AM
I made some retro-ey earrings. I haven't added backs yet.

Group Shot ^

These are colored beads that I put clay around. ^

These are my favorite. They're little purple donut beads that I put pink polka dots on. In the center, or in the donut hole I guess you could say, I added paint and let it harden.

Enjoy,
Courtney

7  Random Photography (Image HEAVY) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by BrightEyedandCrafty on: June 26, 2006 05:57:29 PM
Okay well I am only 12 but I got a camera for Christmas and I love taking random photos and playing with colors and angles and distances. I am not the greatest at it but at least I am having fun. Please tell me what you think.
Courtney

This first one is a "clone" of my sister. Look closely and you will see three of her out there. I combined three photos for this one but you can see the lines a little.

This one is my friend at Walmart. It is a blooper but I like the background effect.

Random shot I took while sitting in the car.

I love this one. Its doggie footprints on the beach.

The beach.

A river.

A Goose.

Jellyfish.

More jellyfish. I really love the colors.

I admit this one isnt much photography. Just me being excited over a CMT truck. Its a bad picture.

Random Black and White photos on my grandparents farm. I like these pictures.

And last but not least a picture of me that I turned into an icon or should I say "eyecon." I just thought the star was kinda cool.

Thats all. Please comment and give me your opinions. I really want to know what you think.

Courtney

Please don't use without credit. PM me first.

Edit: Thats a goose.I don't know how I didn't catch that I put duck. I practically live with geese. Ooopsy.

I received from Tappanga! I love it! Thanks so much! I got: A shirt that says "Good Girl", a shirt that says" 2.1 Billion Christians Can't Be Wrong", some cute cross stickers, a sweet devotional called "No Boys Allowed", a notebook with scriptures randomly placed throughout the pages, and a cute frog bookmark! Thanks so much Sherri! I'm glad that you liked what I sent! Here are some photos!

And that is the notebook! Sorry about the shadow on the picture.

9  Now with pics on post! Stick Horse/Unicorn Reconstructed (Sis's Christmas gift) in Completed Projects by BrightEyedandCrafty on: December 27, 2005 06:34:10 PM
EDIT: I added pictures to my post so you don't have to click a link!
Hello,

Hi I am fairly new and this is my first real post. Meaning that my this is my first posted project. Well anyway one day my Mom brought home an old boring stick horse she found at a thrift store. She told me if I still needed a present for my two-year old sister I could reconstruct it so it wasn't so blahh. So I decided to do that and headed to Wal-mart and bought some trims and ribbon. All this is handsewn because our sewing machine is currently unoperable. Please tell me what you think, constructive criticism. I am only 11 years old.

                        Thank You,
                                  Courtney

Description of What I Did:
*Sewed trim all over the reigns
*Sewed the horn back on because it was falling off (Can't see in pics)
  *Made a tutu
*Sewed a tutu on the bottom
*Sewed trim over where I sewed on tutu to be sure you can't see stitching
*All of this took about 1-1 1/2 hours to complete

Please tell me what you think. The photos are also here if they don't show up!  Grin

10  Turn This Picture Into A Stencil ..Please in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions by BrightEyedandCrafty on: December 04, 2005 01:26:47 PM
I was hoping that someone would turn a picture into a stencil for me?<3 I am going to <hopefully> make a shirt like this:

The Picture:

This is the pic I want to be a stencil, you know like adjust the brightness and contrast in photoshop?

Edit: Sorry My First Pic Didnt Work, I fixed it!

Okay i've seen the confusion, read on.
Socrates, pronounced Sa-Kra-Teez, was a Greek philosopher in Ancient Rome. We were learning about them in class and since a philosopher thinks, all day, for a job, we thought about a kid in my class who thinks alot. The idea started from the I want to be like Mike tees. Thus the I want to be like Socrates tee was born.
