1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / First soap (Orange Cinnamon Soap) on: April 01, 2009 12:03:46 AM
Yesterday I made soap for the first time. I can't afford a stick blender so I was stirring it until my hands felt like they were about to drop off.

I grated some oranges for the scent and sprinkled cinnamon on top. I hope this looks okay for a first timer!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Forest and sea charm bracelets. Edit: New bracelet added! on: February 15, 2007 07:45:53 PM
I don't think I would ever stop making them.

This one was inspired by the forest. Look, they have cute glass butterflies and silver leaves.

And other one I did, which I didn't really like. Well, I was watching a programme about the holocaust, so what do you expect. Actually, I wanted the whole 'dead forest' thing.

Yay for charm bracelets.

EDIT:
I made a new one the other day! This one I really liked.

It reminds me of the sea.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Faux Leather tote. on: February 09, 2007 12:22:45 AM
I feel intimidated to post because all you people are so good, and I feel so ashamed of myself. However today I made the best thing I've ever done in my newbie sewing life, so why not make a first post.

I was thrilled when I found faux leather in the remnants bin at 50% off. Damn, that thing is expensive! Might be the only thing I'm going to make with that. Anyway, I bet this is a cliche 'cherry blossom tote' with buttons. But hey, I love it, so who cares. Haha.

I took so long trying to unpick the stitches and my fingers are all scarred now.

The cotton lining is probably my favourite part!

Also, last week I made a wristlet using the same fabric.

Yay, I feel so perky already.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Virginal post, and a chunky charm bracelet thing. (Image heavy, probably.) on: December 19, 2006 09:44:31 PM
Hello hello! This is my first attempt at making jewellery. So what did I make? One of those chunky charm bracelet. Didn't take me long to figure out how to bend wires and stuff. 20 charms in all, using glass beads and some shell beads. My camera didn't do the bracelet justice at all. =[

just with different lighting this time...

voila! So what do you think?

Oh yeah, I went a little crazy and made tons of earrings too.

Just the very few of them.

Thanks for looking!
