"Baby" as little miss has decided to call her, finally has some real clothes!

The shirt was supposed to be the T-Shirt from Craftewoman's pattern, but I just couldn't figure out the sleeves, and then it was too large lol. So I cut up the back and made it work...

I've got a dog poppet cut out right now, waiting to be stuffed, and an orange one on the way after that. And lots of clothes that I owe people lol.

12  Recycled bookshelves in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by deceptive.fragileness on: January 23, 2008 09:27:39 PM
I'm a poor college student who just moved into a one bedroom.. room with my inlaws, my hubby, and my toddler. I also happen to have.. six boxes of medium sized books and no money for bookshelves lol. So what could I do?? Well this is what I came up with....

CARDBOARD BOX Shelves!! Not great, but it'll do until I can buy real bookshelves... My books are sad. They deserve better.

Don't mind the books all over the floor... Little miss was reading again.

I got pics of the 2nd poppet!! They're not great b/c they were taken in a hurry while the little girl I gave them to was napping, but they are pics... The hair was three different kinds of yarn, and the bangs were handstitched on.. that sucked. Majorly. Seams don't like being sewn through... Overall, I was pleased with this one. The joints came out way better, and I placed the legs better- she looks like she could actually stand. I have pieces all cut out for a twin of sorts- for my baby for xmas if my buttons come in time.

Shameless plug for the cuteness of my kid, who fell asleep pooped after all of the xmas festivities today... **Merry Christmas**

I made a dress for my poppet... Kind of... so I can post a pic =) I never realized how hard it is to take pics of them! I barely managed to take the pics before little miss stole her away again... The puppy likes her too.. er well her hair.  I'm in the process of stuffing a bunny one for xmas for her, but I am not liking how the ears look... *sigh* We'll see how it turns out.

She's got a scrap in her hair from the dress... Any advice on easy to make poppet clothes? lol. It seems to be the only thing I can't make... The skirt on this one isn't wide enough, so it only covers her front  Embarrassed I am not looking forward to making the princess costume for the xmas ones...

So I made it to the store! JoAnn's had a big sale going... Smiley I got almost everything I needed. except for the Dritz buttons. The guy thought I was crazy when I told him what I needed them for... but they didn't have the right size. He said he's never seen them in size 30? Anybody else have this problem? He said they get theirs from the same supplier as everyone else in this region... so I'm not sure what to do. But anyways... I took pics of the fabric, I'm so excited. Smiley I'd get started today but I'm at my inlaws...  sorry if they're huge.

16  felt name book *image heavy* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by deceptive.fragileness on: October 23, 2007 07:23:35 PM
Hey everyone. Wayyyy back in the beginning of the year I worked on making this felt book for my daughter's first birthday. It was finished on time, and then my computer crashed. So, here it finally is. It was inspired by this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=71926.0.

Without further ado, here it is... sorry about all of the imgs

This is the cover, it says Victoria.

V is for Vampire

I is for Ice Cream, for some reason this picture came out very washed out, it is actually very different looking and along the sides it says the flavors- mint, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.

C is for Catepillar.

T is for Turtle

O is for Octopus

R is for Robot. His little tummy says "Hi!"

I is for Island

A is for Angel.

The back cover, it says "Mommy 'n' Daddy <3 Victoria more than the  sun, 'n' the moon, 'n' the stars in the sky.

It was all hand stitched... this project went EVERYWHERE with me for a long time. Tongue

This is my first tat- it's 4 months old about. Here's two shots of it- It's hard to get a good pic of it. It wraps all the way down my side. I'm thinking of adding color to it soon
