1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / A Very Happy Groundhogs Day! on: February 02, 2010 09:56:33 PM
One groundhog who didn't see his shadow and is happily waiting for spring to show up!

I wasn't able to see her reaction but when I woke up she was thrilled to discuss with me all the little characteristics. I'm really glad she liked them. I've been meaning to make them for her for such a long while.

Thank you for taking a peek, everyone!
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Goo Goo Dolls Amigurumi on: July 29, 2009 01:55:43 PM
My Mom is a big music fan so for her birthday I made her The Goo Goo Dolls.

I never put mouths on my projects so they look a little weird. I feel like I really gypped Mike but I felt that their attributes said enough.

Besides neglecting the mouths, I also left out the tattoos on Johns arms. They were just too little to put anything on them.

Robbys feet are the same color as his face because he likes to perform barefoot. I know he transferred to wearing toe socks a few years back, but I figured I would keep it simple. Also, his skull cap is removable. There was no way I could hand make Robbys glasses so they will just have to wait.

I hope she appreciates the extreme butt-chin I gave John.

I left the guys on the kitchen table because she will certainly wake up before I will and I would like them to surprise her!

Happy Birthday, Mom. I love you!

Fabric row trumps Joanns any day of the week. I'm a crocheter, but I frequent Fabric row with my good friend [seamstress] and just being there makes me feel alive. Hope you found some good treasures!

Thanks everyone!

Nice! I got the domiknitrix book with this pattern in it recently! I may have to work it out into crochet now... I'm not too good in knitting (I find I'm waaaaay too slow!) Thanks for the link  Smiley
No matter how hard I try I cannot knit. If it wasn't for the conversions the pillow [and throwing out my shoulder 4 days before Christmas] would not have been possible. If anyone attempts to make their own I want to seee!!!
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: UMAgurumi (Unusual Marine Animals) - pic heavy! on: April 02, 2009 03:10:13 PM
I love all your little creations! Even... the slug.

The narwhal immediately reminds me of Elf when buddy is leaving the North Pole and all the creatures are saying goodbye to him. A-dorable!

Crocheting is much more fun than looking for a job...

He LOVED the pillow! I agree that there should be more skulls! They're adorable and scary at the same time! Thanks for the pillow love!

I was looking at your post with my mom and she started singing "Hold the pickles. Hold the lettuce. Special order, don't upset us!"
