those are both great! for the fading problem, heat set the paint for 3-5 minutes after it's dry. just put a towel over the stencil and iron away; that should help prevent any fading. also, wash it inside out. hope these tips help, and happy stenciling!

what a cute shirt! i say fill in the bridges, but i'm kinda anal about stuff like that. only cause (to me at least) they're a bit distracting.

7  New York / New York: NYC and Long Island / awesome fabric/yarn store in Lower Manhattan! on: May 20, 2006 08:15:31 AM
the yarn store is called Purl and its on 137 Sullivan Street, New York NY. i don't know anything about knitting but i've been there a few times with my friend and it's absolutely adorable. Great, great selection and staff.

It's sister store is called Purl Patchwork and it's located down the block at 147 Sullivan. It's teensy and adorable and a great place to drop by if you want some fabric but feel overwhelmed by the Garment/Fashion District, as i often do. It's mostly for quilters though, so there's no tweed or houndstooth, etc.

their website is http://www.purlsoho.com

happy shopping!
