The Centre County Knitters Guild is pleased to announce we'll be hosting an event on February 3rd called 'I Heart Knitting' dedicated to promoting and celebrating the fiber arts and to raise awareness of the guild and our mission!  Founded in 2003 the guild continues to provide an educational forum for knitters each month as well as promoting community outreach and a yearly charity knitting project.  As we begin 2011 we hope to having the guild continue its growth and spread out even further into our community.

I only have pictures of two of them...I made two for a girl at work for her grandkids too, but didn't take a pic  Roll Eyes The others ones had longer sholder straps and a fabric velcro closure. I embleished more with iron on initials that i bought for only .20 a piece!

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hula Hoop Your Stress Away! on: May 19, 2010 04:58:56 PM
As an adult child it's hard to find a hula hoop to stay up on the hips. I made this last year during the summer. It's made from irrigation tubing and male coupling from Lowe's, gorilla ductape, reg purple ductape, and a stove. Sorry there is no action pics; it's been sitting inside all winter.

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / First Embroidery Help on: May 19, 2010 04:47:30 PM
Making Christmas present way ahead this year. I started with having the pattern stretched over the fabric ( fleece scarf) and going over and making an outline. I'm filling in here and there, but should I satin stitch the deer too? Or would it be too much?
