1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / turning a work in the round on: May 13, 2009 05:45:11 PM
OKay folks, please bear with me! I'm a lapsed knitter who (masochistically?) has decided to pick up needles again and make a tea cozy. Someone bought me a tea cozy book and I'm trying to follow a pattern and drawing a wicked blank. The author has posted the pattern on her blog, and I'm stuck at row 5 (not boding well for my knitting future :/ ). This is the pattern: http://www.grandpurlbaa.com/2006/05/wild-tea-cosies-rosie-posy-pattern.html

Can anyone explain to me in simple terms how I do this? I'm having a hard time working it out, I'm so rusty!

Thank you!  Kiss

I'm glad you liked it Duckie. I hate how T&C doesn't get much love, I'm not a HUGE Shakespeare fan but loved that play when I read it. As I said in the PM, I'm so sorry I forgot to include the CDs - I'm a spaz. I'll drop them in the mail this week Smiley

I received today from the lovely Skrabadoo. As her first swap, she had tons of anxiety - and none of it was necessary. This was such a beautiful swap package, I am overwhelmed by how nice everything is. I appreciate it so much, and it's all to my taste (like the watermelon lipbalm! yes!).

My colour was blue. She included...
- a mixed CD of blue tunes (including 2 of my favourites, Jonie Mitchell and Leonard Cohen)
- A lipbalm holder w/ 2 lipbalms (a girl can never have enough!)
- A lovely set of magnets (and a bonus set of knitting magnets, including my fave of the sheep knitting from himself!)
- A kleenex holder (which will be great for skating on the canal in winter)
- A knitting needle holder (in some reallly snazzy fabric)
-And extra goodies, like a beanbag frog (which is making a great paperweight) and shrinkydinks, as well as the aforementioned knitting magnets!

This was such a great package. Beware of picture overload!!

I received some rockin' lipbalm cozies from stella_escuro! thank you so much, the pair are fabulous - one for lipstick, one for lip balm. I'll be the envy of many a university student, I think!

I'm doing pretty gave, save for touch. Because I have an idea in my head, and I can't figure out a way to translate it to craft...

Are we allowed to use a store bought item as one sense? (i.e., and no I'm not planning this, buying stuff that tastes like the colour, or smells like the colour) I'm not sugesting making everything store bought, but if your sense can be perfectly illustrated by a purchased item...
