1  Unazukin / Matryoshka inspired Plushie in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by munk_munk on: January 28, 2009 01:49:57 AM
Hello!

This is a plushie I have made recently for a swap off craftster.

It is inspired by the Unazukin dolls and has two sides. You can ask her a question, throw her in the air and wait for her answer - "Yes" or "No". Cheesy

Thanks a lot for looking! Hope you like her. Cheesy

2  Dollhouse furniture - for Blythe in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by munk_munk on: October 25, 2008 04:54:52 AM
I've made some dollhouse furniture for my Blythes.

I used the magazine bowl technique for this comfy chair. You only need magazines (I used a h&m catalogue), adhesive tape, modpodge and patience. Easy! The insert for the polkadotted cushion is a bra-padding Wink.

Since I've chosen to construct a two-walls apartement, I had to make a column (vocab?!) for support. To use the space as good as possible, I decided to built my own rounded sofa. I've used wrinkled cardboard, fake leather, adhesive tape  Embarrassed, buero staple gun (plus a big staple gun, but it didn't hold), super glue, toilet paper roll. You sure can tell that it is my first constructed thing, but I'm quite satisfied with the result.

The wardrobe. I have bought the main part, and spray painted the outer. Then I've cut a long wooden stick to make the racks. The red boxes are big match boxes, covered with wrapping paper. The clothehangers are made of thin wire and cute beads. Smiley

I hope you like my little house Smiley

3  Re: Get crafty for my Blythe Swap - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by munk_munk on: September 08, 2008 12:39:12 PM
Surprise! I've already received today  Grin

Like mentioned above we agreed on a larger amount of items, but ritapizza sure exceeded all my expectation - that package was HUGE! I still have holidays so I had enough time for a major photo shooting today Smiley we had a blast with all the new stuff! ritapizza was crafting for my SMe (still unnamed) but she sisterly shared with Siobhan.

One of my favorites is this lime green bubble dress, I love the puffiness. The light blue green dress and the lovely hat are knitted crocheted! Everything is so lovely. We even got our favorite re-ment set from the Petite Mode Collection ... you can see the shoes and bag on the first pic.

Then we've got 2 beautiful coats, one knitted with an amazing shawl collar, the other sewn from fleece with a cuuuute "bird on flower" embroidery and little heart buttons!

Here you can see the girls cooking with their new re-ments Smiley So lovely! They are wearing a white/pink dress made with flowery fabric and emerald green crocheted tops. Sio is also showing their new cutesy apron.

Last but not least, ritapizza found the time for a secret project - a wonderful quilted picnic blanket. I can't wait to use it outside, we love picnics!
I've received a bunch of extras like sewing supplies and chocolates ... well, the package was twice the size of mine  Shocked ritapizza spoiled me rotten!  Kiss

Here are my two girls - a WW named Siobhan and newly adopted SMe. I plan to customize both of them in the next few weeks (SMe has got some treatments from her former owner).

We had a fantastic picnic today, hope you enjoy the photos.

5  Overhauled (Barbie) kitchen for my Blythe! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by munk_munk on: July 15, 2008 11:38:01 AM
Hi y'all!! Hope you have a lovely day Smiley

Sooo I hope not to post at the wrong board - it's nothing completely done by me but it's my first spray/paint job and I want to share Smiley

I've learned a lot Wink the drawers don't fit well anymore because of too many layers spraypaint, there are a few cracks and I expect more too come. But in the end I think it's not too bad and I'm quite proud of it.

Before:

Thanks a lot for looking Smiley

7  Blythe Travel Bag - Image heavy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by munk_munk on: July 06, 2008 06:13:15 AM
I'm very proud of my last bag, which i made to carry my Blythe Siobhan around (we have already been to Berlin together) plus fits all my bag essentials like keys, portemonnaie, chapstick, ... and a small waterbottle Smiley

The bag took me several evenings, and I had to visit stores for supplies two or three times (like for an overpriced sturdy zipper). I had to hand sew the zipper  Cry well you can see it at the pictures - I am not a hand sewer. The strap is adjustable to two lengths and secured with metal snaps.

Materials: cute fabrics, fake leather, a lot of sturdy interfacing, white "fake sheep" material Wink, velcro, d-rings, metal snaps, thick felt, zipper!

Overall view inclusive polymer clay zipper pendant, that constantly falls off.

Detail because of showing off.

Pocket for portemonnaie etc. everything that could scratch her.

Not so cozy mattress (two layers of thick sturdy felt) and safetybelts

Siobhan trapped.

Siobhan trapped - face and body protection Smiley

This is how i use the bag. She is leaning against the mattress. Here you can see also a perfect fitting pouch I received in a private swap last month Smiley - extra space for her stuff or mine.

So enough babbling Smiley do you like it? I really would appreciate feedback!

8  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery June 2008 in The Swap Gallery by munk_munk on: June 12, 2008 01:03:23 PM
Private Swaps are awesome Smiley

Here is what I've got today from my fabulous partner seaofstars:

The robot pouch was the "original" swap item Wink The whole other stuff are extras haha

Pure applique awesomeness ... I love grey + vibrant colours, the purse has a pocket inside and closes with a magnetic snap!

Oh my ... I can't wait to use those!

Well, no bikini this year Smiley I begged for Reese's stuff and Poptarts and see what I've got ...mhhh see the chapstick???  Grin Do you know this "Can't beat 3 Feet"-Candy? I expected to find feet inside ... hehe ... had a glorious Einstein moment Wink

I LOVE EVERYTHING! I forgot to make photos of my new stationary ... I'm a glad girl! Thank you seaofstars Smiley

Sooo now I'll show you what I've sent ...

One of my Sepp-Bags Smiley I've added a zippered pocket to my "original" pattern.

The wooden beads are covered with strips of a Austrian newspaper and sealed with modpodge.
Then I've sent some cute (in my opinion) buttons and little polymerclay pendants.

She has asked me for some ingredients for traditional Austrian food and coffee.

I really enjoyed this swap  Grin and wanted to share my great experience with all of you!

9  3 dresses for Blythe in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by munk_munk on: May 23, 2008 01:49:02 PM
Hi!

I've got a Blythe two weeks ago and started to make her some new clothes Smiley - which is much harder than I have thought! Usually I don't care about centimeters - now I have too be much more precisely  Wink

I can't resist showing them off ....

I have used this pattern -> http://members.optusnet.com.au/orriettacat/patterns/pinaforedress3cPAT.jpg. It is fully lined.

Doesn't look like planned Wink I like it though. Some of you will see the black elastic  Embarrassed I couldn't wait to buy white one ... uuurrgh.

Nearly as planned -  Grin The bodice is lined to prevent staining. I tried to add some (extra) cuteness with the little embroidered leaves!

Do you like my little Siobhan in her new clothes?

10  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery May 2008 in The Swap Gallery by munk_munk on: May 23, 2008 02:46:37 AM
Here is what radar. radar sent me from the fastest personal swap ever Smiley

I hijacked her thread for these portemonnaies with a threat for making one myself Wink after some pm-chitchat we decided on a personal swap and one week later we both received our goodies Smiley
That was one satisfying swap I would say, good to swap with an direct European neighbor (+speaking the same language hehe) sometimes!

Enough babbling - see the most amazing portemonnaie and envelope artwork:

There is space for paper money, coins, cards and one extra slot for stuff Wink i keep there notes and this beautiful handmade tag she sent me (last picture).

Dankeschn radar.radar Smiley as you can see it is fully in action already!
