1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Burda Style Thai pants on: May 07, 2009 01:39:17 AM
SO the other day I made this pant: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/show/3807.

I'm Ok with the result but it's far from perfect. I have a bit of a problem: they don't let my leg moving totally freely. Like it's ok for walking but not to do yoga.

I have two ideas why it's could be, and I want to sort it out to decide if it's worth to sew an other pair.

1. The pattern isn't perfect or at least does not prints perfectly with European printers (I coudn't match perfectly the croutch part it was slightly longer and wider, but the other peaces matched perfectly)

2. Simply my butt is too big for for this pant  (I'm bottom heavy I wear 42-44 pants normally)

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Aladdin / harem pants - ruffle waistband on: April 15, 2009 02:51:44 AM

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / dyeing jeans with coffee on: June 08, 2008 04:19:57 PM
So my question is has anyone any experience with this?
I saw a tut on youtube by threadbanger but does it really work? I mean coffee stains come off easily. Or should I go for (green)tea. Cuz I couldn't get out a
grean tea stain from a cross stich work of mine.

Any other ideas how to darken a nasty ice blue colored jeans, without losing the it's texture.

THX
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / dress pattern that helps w/ my butt on: June 08, 2008 12:26:05 PM
So my university graduation in is in July and I wanted to wear that graduation uniform that you can see, but it turned out, that out faculty doesn't have one. I tried to shop a dress, but I did find any. Most of them I like were the wrong cut.

I'm kinda hourglass shaped, but I have a tummy, and big butt, and wide thighs. So I'd like a dress that hides my bottom heaviness (size 14) and focuses on my better looking upper body (Size 12). My waist is kinda thin. I want something vintage style and hopefully burda, or anything I can download on line cuz I haven't got enough time to wait till the pattern arrives. My sewing skill is intermediate, I've been sewing for 5 years.

A would appreciate any help...

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / MY new love on: March 05, 2007 12:57:37 PM
I've just purchased the last two skein of this yarn.

http://www.schoeller-und-stahl.de/produkte/sommer_produkte.php?Ordner=college&&Model=College&&Start_Datensatz=0&&ID=3&&Rubrik=Sommergarne in rost.

Cuz I have so fallen in love  with it. As I have dreads I think I want to make a baggy hat out of it. Something pretty that can show off the yarn without making my head look like enormous. Anyone knows a good chunky pattern? (I know it's a crochet board, but it can be knitted as well)
