No worries. I do hope they are useful to you. I've been using the "rejects". Wink

If I did them again, I'd do two things differently. First, I'd make the bottoms a perfect square instead of rectangles.

Then I'd bring the clear vinyl down further by making the bottom strip much thinner. This way you can see further down into the bottom of the bag, like in the original. But by leaving a short strip of fabric, it's easier to work the vinyl than having the it touch the bottom.

Getting the clear to go all the way down and looking neat is quite tricky despite how easy it looks on the link!

I just pinned that glorious organizer bag to my Crafty Wish/Fabric board!  I spend so much time digging through all my WIP bags searching for "that project.  I desperately need a few of those!

Aw. That's really sweet of you to say! Smiley

I've linked the "original" project below. My problem was I couldn't really work the plastic so it looked good at the bottom there in the round shape. So I had work the bottom in fabric. In the end I made them square-ish to give them a bit of "sit up".

Only one picture?! That's too bad. It seems, though, that I was the only one to get my wrist slapped.   Shocked  Cry

These are the two swaps I got from Averia:
1. Mini quilt embroidery for my wall. Since Averia posted a close up, I'll post a pick of it in situ.

2. Desperately needed pot holders also from Averia:

Now for what I sent:
3. These are the 4 cloth napkins I sent to MrsAwesomePants. I hope she likes them and uses them because I actually really liked these and had a hard time letting them go!

4. I forgot to take a picture of the 3 organizer bags I sent to miknessevie. This it one of the test version I made. I couldn't get the bottom rounded out for some reason. So the finished ones have square bottoms. They stand up better. Well, and they are finished properly with the draw string pull thing, etc. This one is flat bottomed.

Must remember to take pics!

Great!! Let's see if we can get this moving!! Wink

Can someone maybe comment on my list? Are my projects too much? Now that I have more time to hang out here I'm sure I'll find some inspiration.

I've heard a lot of people say 2012 was really bad. So can't wait to ring in 2013. At least we all made it, right? Cheesy
5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 89 Winter is here lets get crafting :D on: December 29, 2012 03:42:08 PM
I claim Mrs Awesome Pants for some cloth napkins.

This is my first claim. 2/1/0

I live in Switzerland, but I'm happy with quality over quantity and love mini things so hopefully that will keep the postage down. Having said that you all in the states have it easy with the postage. LOL.

Anyway, it's been a while since I've swapped since for the last 4 years we were living in a country where the postal system just didn't work. Eeeks. I'm quite happy to be back where the post works like a dream. Smiley And I'm looking forward to spend more time crafting. Swaps give me that excuse that I need to get to the sewing/crafting room.

oh noes, I have stalled the thread...

I don't know why I often try to duplicate exactly what someone has pinned or wisted when I really prefer to get items inspired by pins rather than exact replicas. I wouldn't worry about design changes.

Haha. Me too. Isn't that funny. Smiley Maybe we all worry too much.

I thought it was me being overseas that stalled. I think it's just the holidays. It's only going to get worse. It's already the 17th!? Where does time go?

I will be OK..

I send you virtual hugs and lots of good vibes. You hang in there!

I am sure they will love whatever you make Cheesy We all used peoples ideas to inspire but not to have to copy to a T.. some do and some are inspired by but all are loved for sure Cheesy

Yeah. I just thought it would be easier. It's not that difficult to sew fabric circles. It's just that the vinyl has no give.

I have for years been swapping but the past few months I made a HUGE move from NC to MA then had some more health stuff and now hop this is the last of it so I can so get my craft back on in overdrive.. I feel like I have lost part of me not being able to craft like I did to the drgree Cheesy I loved claiming 4-7 times a month Cheesy cant wait to do it again soon... SOON I SAY SOON Cheesy hehehee

I grew up in MA! PM me your location... I'm curious. I don't get there often enough. We also have a big move last year. Soooo over moving. Me too. I hated not being able to swap. Swapping keeps me crafting as I don't have too many people to craft for. And it's more fun to craft for others.

I hate when crafting goes bad... Sad

I'm having a hell of a time sewing circles. Whaaa.

just take your time and all will be OK Cheesy I am with you however I had a huge issue this morning. I just had another major surgery and it has really made a damper on my whole right side and I am right handed. I am so sore and they upped my meds again as it was not helping so just yuck! I am with you however and it happens to all of us :/

I dumped the circles.... Too many days fighting with them, too much vinyl hitting the trash can and the deadline is looming. Going back to straight lines I'm afraid. lol

I think they are still cute. Fingers crossed they will be appreciated even in their non-circular form. Cheesy

But omg, you poor darling. Sad I hope you feel better soon.
