401  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Old CDs / AOL CDs / AOL CD Cases on: December 09, 2005 08:37:09 PM
What about using them as earring holders, like the records in another forum? I guess you could heat up a nail or something and poke holes..then stick your earrings in it.

I might have to try that now.

I was thinking it would be cute to make patches that way (even seasonal ones) and attach velcro to the back and velcro to a spot on a skirt or shirt or jeans and you could rotate the patches. Then for special occasions, like a Christmas party or something, you could just grab your Christmasy iron on patch and stick it on. The rest of the time you could wear a raindrop or sumpin.  Cheesy

I had a barrette set just like that when I was little!

 Grin cute

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.  I'd like to do that for my boys' rooms.  My mom had that people statue thingy.  I like the way you painted it.  It looks really modern.

neurotic note: my mom had hers on a dresser.  I opened a drawer, it rocked, fell on my head and made a hole in the chin of the bottom face. She still has it.  Grin

I love it! The black paint on top and the glass is an extra nice touch and love, love, love the glass hangey thingeys.

btw..love the rest of your apartment, too. I just saw that last night before I went (ok, was dragged by husband kicking and screaming...just one more picture, honey) to bed. Grin I recognized your pixelated pic over the bar.

407  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: THE BIG WINTER HOLIDAY GIFT THREAD!!!! on: December 03, 2005 04:18:51 PM
Sorry if this has already been on here and I missed it.  One year we made all the Christmas presents for both sets of families.  For his niece, I took a sweatshirt, cut up the middle of the front panel, then added some piping to the raw edges.  You could do any kind of decorating you wanted.  Then she had a "cardigan" sweatshirt.

hehe I guess that's kind of old news.  She was nine at the time...now she's 26.  Undecided
408  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: November 26, 2005 09:38:49 AM
Hi!  Great tattoos!  I'm a freelance writer and had a couple of articles picked up by tattoos&piercings magazine recently.  I have another one they like but they want pics.  The article is on mother and daughter tattoo outings.  I wondered if anyone here had mom and daughter pics where both of you have tattoos and if you do could I use them to submit to the magazine with my article?  Thanks.  At any rate, I'm glad my research brought me to this site..it's awesome!
