11  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: ALL YEAR LONG CHRISTMAS CRAFTALONG 2006 on: March 27, 2006 01:37:28 PM
You don't yell at them.  Grin Sounds familiar. I've been making more book thongs but none for Christmas. We're having a silent auction at my church to raise money for a community center. People are bidding on themed gift baskets so I made a "garden" themed book thong and am working on a "music" themed one. I also made one with a little cross for a really sweet lady at my church. So, all this work and not a single lousy Christmas present. LOL (I do still have one of my mom's crossstitched towels left). This is the most fun thread I've participated in on Craftster. It almost gives me the nerve to do a swap.  Smiley
12  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Why am I crocheting tiny bowls and not circles?! on: March 22, 2006 02:23:19 PM
Congrats! I too have recently become the proud parent of a few flat circles, and I do mean proud. The first few weeks I picked up crocheting my husband would say "ohhh, crocheting another tube?".   Grin BUT today he took me to ACMoore because he wanted to look at the yarn he'd like me to use for his hat. hehe. It will be a while before I attempt that but at least he thinks I'll be able to eventually. I'm a big fan of the book and I don't even have it yet. It's definitely on my list!
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Swapping w/ crafters who smoke? Opinions please on: March 19, 2006 06:35:15 AM
Ok, everyone who is a smoker and wants to know if their stuff stinks, can craft me something, send it to me and I'll let you know. Cheesy

I'm willing to do this to help you all out Grin

Just kidding of course.  Wink

That is so considerate of you.  Grin

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: bottle of booze, intarsia-style on: March 18, 2006 08:51:11 AM
Gorgeous. I'm curious...why did it have to be photographed unraveling?  Grin It's really great. I hope you get the big bucks for it.  Wink
16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: You know you're a craftster when... on: March 18, 2006 04:40:06 AM
when your arm is in a sling and your dad says, "so, are you going to turn that into a designer sling?"

Your arm is broken and you're really sad b/c you can't sew or crochet or anything and you just bought new fabric.  Cry
You can read why my arm is in a sling & all here: http://www.etsy.com/forums_topic.php?thread_id=3790

i got tons of flowers and my mom said somethig about thank you cards and i said, "i wish i could make some." i prob. can, i'll look into it later on.

Cry So sorry about your accident. I hope you are busy crafting again in no time.
17  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: First Project: Bikini! on: March 16, 2006 10:29:52 PM
Too cute. I just bought some of the sugar n cream yarn yesterday at ACMoore. I think it's Rosewood? It's in the bedroom where hubby is sleeping or I'd go check. I love crocheting (well...I can almost call it crocheting) with it. Yum!

I will definitely be passing on the crocheted bikini but you did a great job. It's adorable.
18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Embroidered t-shirts on: March 16, 2006 10:24:59 PM
Great job on everything. I've downloaded some patterns from that site, too. It's one of my favorites. I really like the transfer idea. I bought some tear-away fabric but I've heard it can be a real pain if your stitches are small. Think I'll try the transfer idea. Thanks!
19  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wishlist 8 Gallery! on: March 16, 2006 09:32:18 AM

20  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My WIP crate on: March 16, 2006 09:28:00 AM
I love the bag and the first picture of it with the contrasting yarn is a work of art. I seriously think you could offer that pic to a magazine or website. (if you're a professional photographer and everyone else on Craftster already knows this Embarrassed well, just humor me.)  I really do love the picture.  Oh...and the crate! (and the shelf it's sitting on).
