11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Octopus, Planets, Patchwork, and Floral Totes made from Felted Wool Sweaters on: June 22, 2006 06:00:15 PM
I made all 4 of these from 3 sweaters I picked up at the Salvation Army a few months back.  (And I still have quite a bit of felted wool left.  Smiley)

This one was featured on Etsy's home page back in April  Grin :

Thanks for looking! Smiley

12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Vintage Tea & Sake Cup, Perched Owl, and Mini Vase Pin Cushions on: June 21, 2006 07:43:59 PM
I made some pin cushions.  I like pin cushions.  Smiley

These pin cushions all have a full layer of extra fine steel wool sewn under the fabric tops to clean and sharpen your pins while you work.

And I used upholstery and home decor fabrics to withstand plenty of use.

This next one is by far my least favorite.  Sad  I guess they can't all be winners...

Thanks for looking.  Feel free to discuss...
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Dear 3 New Hobos, Awesomeness is Thy Name on: June 16, 2006 03:28:53 PM
This is my new favorite style of bag.  I don't know why it took me so long to convert.

I really should list this one, but I just can't bring myself to do it...

The interior is the yellow "jelly flowers" print on the center panel of the exterior.  If you look closely, I sewed 3 pailliettes (1 circular, 2 hearts) on the front.  They're hard to see without the flash on.

This next one was a custom order.  I liked it so much that I made the one below it.

And the second one...

I couldn't find buttons large or cool enough so I made some with polymer clay.  I really like how they turned out.  I think I'll do that more often.  The pink bag has a velcro closure.

Thanks for checking out my bags.  You rock.  Grin
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 1 mini tote + 2 maxi totes + 300 hundred pics. (or maybe just 12) on: June 16, 2006 10:09:27 AM
Some new bags.  I don't have any more of the pink polka dotted fabric, and I really wish I did.  Cry  Has anyone seen it?  Know where I could find it?  (I bought is so long ago, I don't remember where I got it.)

The light got super wonky on this one.  Pllbbbt.

Thanks for looking. Smiley
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Beaded Apron Hobo on: June 14, 2006 08:27:21 PM
I've had the idea to do an apron style front on a bag for awhile now.  It doesn't really serve any purpose other than decorative.

Thanks for checking it out.
16  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Polka Dot Flannel Vinyl Covered Button Bib on: June 02, 2006 07:52:46 PM
EEEEEEEEE, I love this bib! Grin  And the best part?  It fits my 1 yr. old, it fits my 4 yr. old, and it fits me!

The vinyl on the front serves 2 purposes:

1.  Easier clean up

2.  Keeps baby from playing with buttons (gotta love all those choking hazards, right?)

Thanks for looking!

17  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 12 ENTRIES / A Set To Make Ana Voog Proud on: June 01, 2006 09:22:04 AM
...At least, I think it would.

I crocheted a hat and coordinating brooch by making "yarn" from jersey loops, (which I'd never seen before and thought was an original idea until I saw it pictured on the back of the packaging, doh!).  I embellished with pink and green chenille pipe cleaners, and added some matching glitter pom-poms.  A few hours, 2 sore wrists (that yarn is hard to manipulate!), and some hot glue later, voila...

The Hat...

The hat in progress...

The Brooch...

And the completed set...

So, perhaps a tad too advent garde for everyday, but that's part of the fun. Grin

18  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / My Take on the In Bloom Clutch on: March 15, 2006 04:53:15 AM
I posted this in the bags forum first, but, afterwards, thought it would be more appropriate here:

Thanks for looking. Smiley

19  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Happy Bears, Flowers, + Mushroom Brown Corduroy Tote& My Take on In Bloom on: March 14, 2006 02:04:03 PM
This first bag is made from dark brown plaid corduroy, I think it's sort of hard to see the plaid in these pics.

Here's the back side...

The patches...

and the interior...

And this is my take on the In Bloom clutch from The Happy Hooker.  I've had this yarn for awhile now, it's nice thick wool but too scratchy to be a hat or scarf, so...

Thanks for looking. Smiley
