This dress was made using the same pattern as the pink patchwork one I made, I really am in love with this pattern right now.  I was worried the sheet would be too see-through, but the top facing and interfacing makes it just right.  (You can just barely make out the line in these photos.)

This is the first dress/jumper/romper I've made for my first baby girl, due in June.  Yay!!!  (I have boys.)  It was so simple, and I love it.  I already have fabric lined up for 3 or 4 more.

I used coral colored, 1" shell buttons.  I'm hoping they stand up to the washing machine (turned inside out, on the gentle cycle), because with 3 little kids, I don't do handwashing.

Fun projects to pass the long, cold, winter days. 

I made these some time ago and just never got around to posting them.  They're all made on the fly, I work better without patterns.

These are cheapie dollar store terrycloth houseshoes (like $3), the kind with the little bows on the front.

I took the bows off with a seam ripper and sewed on some little fabric yo-yo's.  (I made a smaller red one for the second shoe, but I like the way it looks with only one yo-yo.) 

Lastly, I added a couple of plastic, shank style vintage buttons, and voila, super cute houseshoes!

I originally made this for a Red Cross Benefit Auction that never got off the ground. 







Let's see...

The exterior is home decor. fabric, most likely from Joann's or the like.

The interior is a thrifted sheet.

The interior pocket is trimmed with silver sequin trim, it looks like a zipper, but it's not.

I interfaced the whole she-bang with pellon craft interfacing.

The handles are removable (Though I'm not sure why you'd ever remove them) plastic beads on silver hardware.

And the pink eyelet trim only goes across the top front of the bag, because that's all I had left.

There's a great coffee shop downtown just waiting for us to grace it with our knitting needles, witty banter, and what not...

I've been feeling more experimental lately.  Here's one of the results:











I'm really happy with it.  It has a simple circular velcro closure and the exterior strap and interior fabric are made from an old pillowcase I picked up while thrifting.  Hooray for repurposing!
