71  Ska messenger bag, in duct tape in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sapphire_distortion on: January 09, 2006 03:15:10 PM
I just finished this, it had been sitting around for FOREVER without a strap. Halfway through making it I decided I probably wouldn't wear it, so now I don't know what to do with it - I spent 5-6 hours on it and don't want to put it up on ebay just for it to go for $5 or something, y'know? But it turned out pretty well anyways, check it out:

Thanks guys! Loving the Streetlight lyrics in your sig, btw, IDareYou. Cheesy

I got bored again over the weekend, and redid a skirt and a pair of shoes(the total price for these was $4...god I love thrift stores):

I was going to ebay it, but I think I want it instead...even if it is more mini than I intended...

And the shoes, which turned out verrrrrry comfy and cute(which I'm glad of, 'cause they took for-freaking-ever!!!)..inspired by the cons to mary janes tute, and using the extra fabric from the skirt:

Okay, so I decorated a couple pairs of Chucks for swap partners.  So why not post them together here?
These are Target Chuck-alikes:

These are actual Chucks:

I used a thick layer of paint on the toe covers and poured on clear microbeads.  They stuck really well, but I added a couple layers of polyurethane (because I was scaredy that they'd fall off).  Both pairs feature a single, long, painted squiggle.
And I don't wear anything this fabulous myself.    Wink

I *love* the knockoffs with the ankh design on them. That is what you were aiming for, correct? That's almost enough to make me want to get a cheap pair myself just to try that design. I'm assuming it's fabric paint? Was it freehand? (sorry if these are stupid questions, curious...also a little sick and kinda out of it Wink)

Great jobs on all the rest too Cheesy
