2  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Re: Anyone with a badge press? I'd like 3 badges before the 13th on: January 08, 2006 09:29:10 PM
I know this is a last minute thing, but could anyone make + mail me 3 badges to Sydney before the 13th of Jan? It's a tiny order and I hope someone can fill it at such short notice.
I'm hoping for 2 with pictures of a tuba, and one with a slogan based on the saying "to blow your own horn"
I dunno. I had thought of "I like to blow my own horn"

The person these are for is very um... assertive   and they play the tuba in an orchestra.

I'm willing to pay or swap

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: i have an ugly table on: December 26, 2005 02:55:29 PM
just a note of experience...large amounts of resin create large amounts of heat and can shrink and curl to a point...in making a three foot round resin top table i ended up with a big curled piece of resin on the first attempt...i'll look and see if i can find the link to a website that had good tips with resin on table tops

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: LAST MIN. BOY PRESENT??? on: December 23, 2005 12:22:12 PM
make him a mix cd, get some art supplies, print out something by an artist he likes and frame it, personalize a journal, start a memory book for you two to add to...

or personally, i'd love to get a handmade card with a note stating a night out for the two of us completely planned by the girl with no responsibilites on my part or decisions to be made and then have her do something really sweet then...that gives you a little time to plan to, just give him the option of a few days and let him pick one...

hope it helps...

I know this is as helpful as... can't come up with an un-helpful metaphor here. I live in LA now. But I'm from Glen Ellyn, went to high school in downtown Chicago, college at Northwestern... I visit a few times a year.

If you take up the knitting thing you'll have plenty of people to meet with. Don't be afraid of the needles!  Wink

me an knitting don't go well...tried it alone...could use some lessons, but they're so damn expensive
