2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Up for a challenge? I need amigurumi quick on: December 06, 2005 12:56:59 PM
I posted this on an etsy forum too so if you read this again...oh well, i'm desparate.

My daughter is homeschooled and she's participating in this thing where you send a stuffed animal that represents your state, a journal and disposable camera to another homeschool family. They take pictures w/ the stuffed thing in various places where they live, write in the journal, take pictures...then send it to the next family, etc. til it comes back to you with a journal full of writing, a full camera and your stuffed animal back. (sorta like a flat stanley project if anyone's heard of that)

So, I'd like someone to make me an amigurumi of something that represents NY state. Here's what I found online.

Our state:
fruit: apple
beverage: milk
insect: ladybug
bird: bluebird
animal: beaver
fish: trout
flower: rose
tree: maple
muffin: apple muffin (i know, weird)

If anyone has or can make one of the above (quickly) please let me know. I need to send the box out by Dec. 12. It shouldn't be too big.  I really want this to be special and would rather buy something handmade than some cheapy walmart toy.

Oh and let me know how much it would cost, ok???  THANKS!! julie
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Let's play...what is this called & where do I find it??? on: December 04, 2005 06:13:35 AM
HI everyone.  I'm new to craftster but not to crafts.  This is my first post under jewelry and I'm hoping someone can help me.

I'm trying to find something to turn a non-pendant into a pendant.  I'm thinking there is something that is a flat round metal disk with a loop on it that I can glue to something.  I've search high and low on the internet and can't find exactly what I'm looking for.  I think it's like a bail but what kind of bail?  Anyone?  TIA Julie
