3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Gelatin Monoprints on: December 22, 2005 12:51:46 PM
Hey everyone. This is more of an idea than a finished project. I was watching some show today and they were doing these really cool jell-o monotypes. What you do is make the recipie of any gelatin, flavored or not. Then you pour it into a fairly flat pan. After it firms up, cover the surface with a thin layer of water soluble ink. Then take random objects like feathers, leaves or other small items and lay them on top of the ink. After putting all your items in place, you take a piece of paper and smooth it over the gelatin. Push hard enough to pick up the ink, but not too hard as to smudge or smear the ink. Lift the paper and you have a super cool jell-o monoprint! It would be cool on fabric too! Have fun!
