Hey everyone. This is more of an idea than a finished project. I was watching some show today and they were doing these really cool jell-o monotypes. What you do is make the recipie of any gelatin, flavored or not. Then you pour it into a fairly flat pan. After it firms up, cover the surface with a thin layer of water soluble ink. Then take random objects like feathers, leaves or other small items and lay them on top of the ink. After putting all your items in place, you take a piece of paper and smooth it over the gelatin. Push hard enough to pick up the ink, but not too hard as to smudge or smear the ink. Lift the paper and you have a super cool jell-o monoprint! It would be cool on fabric too! Have fun!

53  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Navy Beaded Necklace- I need ideas! on: December 14, 2005 08:24:23 PM
I can't figure out how to hook up my camera to the computer for the life of me, but I just wanted to let you all know how it turned out. I am so happy with the result! I threaded navy blue and silver beads onto a navy ribbon. The clasps are these gorgeous heart shaped toggles. Just wanted to update everyone! sorry there are no pics.

59  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: THE BIG WINTER HOLIDAY GIFT THREAD!!!! on: December 02, 2005 08:03:22 PM
Wow, I have a lot of Christmas crafting to do! I think that for my grandma I'm going to get those iron on transfer sheets and make a purse or a throw pillow out of a family picture. Oh, also in Wal-mart's craft section(or at least at mine) you can buy yards of chain. I was thinking of buying some of that and making charm bracelets for my cousins. Hope this helps!
