1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Kingston Bug on: March 24, 2009 06:06:35 AM
Ah I just left Kingston last year; graduated from Queens. And your very realistic painting brings back some memories. Some terrible, terrible memories.

For instance, if you throw a flip flop from across the room (and hit your target), their legs seem to fly off its body. And you better hope your aim is true, otherwise your paranoia is matched only by your grip on said flip flop.

Fantastic painting, seriously, it's so realistic it required a double-take.
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Lemmings! on: February 24, 2009 11:45:03 AM
Brilliant! I wasted many a summer day playing Lemmings as a kid. The detail is incredible; fabulous accessories. Perhaps I'll have to convince my mom to crochet some for me.

I love it! The Bumble is my absolute favourite character (Christmas or otherwise). You did such a realistic reconstruction!
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: X-stitched Mario Bros 3 map on: June 17, 2008 02:19:11 PM
That is amazing! I'm in awe at your level of patience and dedication! How did you ever draw up the pattern?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Duck Hunt Sweater - pic heavy (now with charts!) on: June 17, 2007 10:05:38 AM
Yah sorry about the no pictures...my photos are all being hotlinked to other random (gaming) sites so my good ol' photobucket account kinda got mad.

I'll try and upload them with something else...sigh.

I fixed his head a little post-photo...I couldn't sleep. It was driving me insane! It's less wide now.

Ah the miracles of duplicate stitching.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / School Sweater on: April 10, 2007 08:41:47 PM
After seeing my Duck Hunt sweater, my cousin enlisted me to knit her a sweater for her highschool.

Only requirements; school colours and to have the mascot. She said a basic sweater would do...but that didn't appeal to me. Some creative altering of a cardigan pattern and voila! we have a retro varsity sweater!

I JUST finished it, so the buttons haven't been sewn on, nor is it blocked. I was a bit eager to post...

I had major issues with the mascot...so humour me and say it looks good. I lost count on how many times I frogged it...ah well. Humour. Me.

Enjoy!

Yes...this is my attempt at a 'knitting is cool' pose.

Close enough eh? It's just that darn head...

Ok, so I *finally* posted the charts (on 1st page). Sorry, I was having some issues with my computer. The fight got ugly. Things were said. It's ok, we're speaking to each other now.

I can't find my charts for the guns, but I'll keep looking!
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Varsity sweater help on: February 13, 2007 11:26:32 AM
I just got a PM and this pattern was sent my way; I thought I'd post it in case anyone was curious. With a little revamping I think it'll be perfect!

Thanks for all the (speedy!) help guys!
