*sigh* alas my daughters only 7 so the dog is my responsibility. She feeds her every day when she comes home from school but that is the extent of her dog duties(punny)
As for when she "dribbles" :: its all the time someone could sneeze and she pees herself. We haven't had her that long and I pray it's like you said and she will grow out of it. I don't punish her I just clean it up and put her outside for a while try and get her to understand if she pees she goes outside.
Another habit I just found out this afternoon is she likes clean laundry. I had put her outside and it started to pour she got wet before i could get her inside and first thing she jumps into my basket of clean laundry fresh from the dryer..I guess cuz it was warm. It was kinda cute but I couldn't help but holler NO get outta there and then she peed all over my laundry.
I wanted my daughter to have an inside dog she can love something small. but we ended up finding a stray that was a great Pyrenees puppy 6 months old huge but absolutely beautiful dog well mannered gentle. we named him Danny. He died Nov 18 this yr. which happens to be my daughters b-day so a friend of ours in all kindness says "we can't have a birthday girl with no doggie" so he gives her a puppy. the dribbler. which she named...Mutt..lol we tried but she was dead set on that name. so poor little thing is Mutt the dribbler.
heres some pic of Danny::
gosh he was such a beautiful dog
