2  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Give me a 21st Birthday cake idea! on: July 16, 2007 07:17:58 PM
margarita glass orrrr

simple and easy, but still cute, if you're short on time when her bday comes around-- whatever shaped cake but decorate with those mini chocolates that are in the shape of wine and liquor bottles (the ones that bring liquor inside)
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: cuff and hello kitty bling on: March 12, 2007 08:49:51 AM
hey thanks for the comments

kat- i took a jewelry class so i did it there- basically when you cut put the shape you dunk it in melted wax. the wax hardens and then you etch the lines with a sharp pencil or something pointy. when you're all done you soak it in acid bath and it eats away at the etched lines where the wax isnt covering anymore. - i dont know where you can buy the type of acid lol but i have seen etching kits before so they prob bring something of the sort.

i made these cards with various pinup cards and with word or thought bubbles coming from them but the bubbles are blank. i think they;ll be perfect for valentines day cards but i dont know what to write in them.

anybody have any cheese captions/quotes,etc.. to put in them??

i have 3 girls in the mirror, 1 sailor, 1 army girl, 1 girl in front of the mirror in shock as her breasts are exposed (hehe my fav), one looking puzzled sitting on a park bench.... (just so you can picture them)

cut off the top and toes of pantyhose and sew on sequins or plastic gemstones onto a section of it, then wear it was a headband. i got inspired by thje marc jacobs bejeweled headbands (but could never afford the real ones!)

10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Newspaper Comic Strips...? on: December 13, 2006 10:22:15 PM
The small daily-news comics are a really good size for bookmarks. You could laminate them or "faux" laminate them with sticky paper or tape.

i made like 5 bookmarks and they came out so cute. i used the daily black and white ones and used colored pencils to color them. i did all funky colors kinda warhol-esque and then used clear duct tape to "laminate them".
