HI! I needlepointed this sign on plastic canvas to call for your participation in a show of needlecraft art!

The show is of x-stitch and embroidery with patterns generated from knitPro... KnitPro is a *FREE* web application that translates digital images into cross-stitch, crochet and needlepoint graph patterns so you can have graphics in your needlecraft.
Visit www.microrevolt.org/knitPro to participate and use the free app! t h a n k s all, keep stitching...

I had a collection of burlap coffee bean bags and some old silk screen frames in my messy closets that have no doors. I decided it would be cool to put hinges on the silk screen frame and stretch the burlap for doors. What'dya think?

materials:
burlap coffee bean bag, large frame, hinges, staple gun, screws and drill

i think a girl in my knitting circle made it up! (not the stitch, but her title for it) i tried googling it too, and then had to ask. maybe you know of it, it's quite common. here's what you do:
1) loosely cast on 17 stitches
2) knit (K) first stitch, then yarn over (YO)
3) repeat this for all 17 stitches
4) K first stitch, then pull off the YO stitch
5) repeat this for all 17 stitches
6) alternate this 2-3 and 4-5 every other row

hope that's not too cryptic i'm not really a follow-the-instructions kind of gal (even though i want to be!)
