Hey all! Well, the title sort of describes this project -- the fabric is definitely polka dots, the bag is a messenger just without the flap cover (as per the request of the friend who ordered this for her 13 yo daughter), and the madness is all about the fact that she asked for this a month ago for the said daughter's christmas present and I just finished this a few hours ago! I need to take it to her house (luckily, she lives 2 minutes away ), but first wanted to show my friendly craftsters the finished bag. Here it is: one outer side, showing a huge pocket and the tie closure, as requested
the inside, one side--with one huge sort of "divider" pocket
the same side, showing the 3 pockets on that divider
the other side, showing the pencil pocket and another divided pocket
just showing scale, cause the bag's pretty huge!
and last, but not least, my darling daughter hamming it up modeling!
I finished this last night, after working on it on and off for the past few days. I love the Fall colors during this time of year, so I had to pick some of those from my stash. One of the fabrics actually has little leaves in it. I used batting between fabric and interfacing layers. Hope you like! (Please excuse the "fuzzy" pics...hubby and son have the good digital camera with them whilst away visiting colleges this weekend )

inside, with that leafy fabric!
a really bad action shot!
No, the colors don't really look like they do in this shot, but I just added it to show size.
Probably the first pic shows the colors their truest, maybe a little less bright. Anyway, thanks for looking!
I couldn't come up with a title that was original or catchy, probably because it's late at night (actually, it's now officially the next day-- ), but here are the latest 2 bags I've made. I am so loving this upholstery to make bags with...good thing I've got tons of the stuff!
