How in the world did you get the mirror in there and get it to stay in one place?

The eggs are sewn of two felt-layers (plus the smaller yellow one for the egg yolk). I have put an egg-shaped plastic-layer (cut out of a plastic package) between the felt and sewed ist all up. Before sewing I hot-glued the mirror to the plastic-slice. The "mirror-hole" is seamed with zigzag.

That's neat! What did you make the eggs out of? Is that felt?

Thank you, VeganPickles! Yes, it's felt.

Do you speak German [or Dutch Wink - Thank you, Craftyluna!]?
Then sit down at table and enjoy your meal!
We are having "Spiegelei" for dinner tonight.
(As you can see in the second picture, "Spiegel" is the German word for mirror  Grin )

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Blinky, quick, eat the flashing coins! on: February 18, 2008 11:16:53 AM
It's not Blinky, who has to eat all the flashing things, it's the sawn button.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / frog hat on: November 18, 2007 06:11:10 AM

*update*: the hat was knitted without a pattern. i knitted a green hat in rounds (30 stiches/needle). at the beginning: one round knit, one purl for the brim (a turn-up-brim). later: knit the last two stiches on every needle together every third/second/every round.
earflaps: turn the brim up, then put 20 stiches for the earflap with a crochet-needle on your knitting-needle.
eyes: you will need four crocheting-rings (i don't know the english wort for it... prym plastic rings). crochet around two of them with white yarn. the green part of the eyes you can work this way:

the pupil is a black wood-bead.
needle: 3,5 mm (10 mm = 1cm; 2,54 cm = 1 inch)

if you have any questions, i will try to help you Smiley
