Hello! My sister makes beautiful fine line drawings of nature pics, and as a birthday gift, i want to have them printed to make greeting cards, but I want them printed on a nice recycled paper. Most companies I'm finding online will only print about 500 minimum, but this isn't for a big business venture, just a nice high quality (hopefully) gift for her to use personally. Anyone know if a company where you can have your own design printed onto recycled paper in a quantity of around 25-50? Thanks!!
Anyone know where I could find a source for waxed canvas fabric? I'm not looking for the oilcloth, like they sell in joann's (pvc treated) but the authentic cotton canvas fabric treated with wax/oil. Having a really hard time finding any! thanks in advance for your help.
I've recently started making purses with the metal clutch frames. The ONLY glue I've read about that works for this gluing metal to fabric is the Gutermann Creativ HT2 Textile Glue. This comes in very small tubes and is quite expensive. Not to mention I haven't found any for sale in the US. Does anyone know of an alternative that works just as well? thanks!
I've been searching high and low online for places that sell those cardboard tubes that rolls of fabric come on. Anyone know where to buy them, or even what they're called?? I"ve tried searching for "cardboard tube" and other variations of that on google and don't come up with what I need. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi! Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for inexpensive printing? My sister has some amazing nature drawings that I want to have printed on cards. I would like them printed on recycled paper, but am having a hard time finding anyone online that can print a small run at a *small* price. Has anyone done this??
I have some questions about the logistics of opening an etsy store. Here's what I *want* to do, I'm just not sure of the red tape, and any advice whatsoever would be fantastic!
My sister makes beautiful nature drawings. I've collected quite a few of them and am about to print them to make cards. She's a mom of 2 and overloaded with too much stuff to do and living on an extremely limited income. I just wanted to try to sell some cards for her to get her a bit of extra grocery money, etc.
I don't have a problem using my own credit card to set up an etsy shop, but is it legal for me to do this if I'm not claiming these cards are made by me, or that the store is "mine"? Do I have to actually register a business for her in order to be able to sell on etsy? It's just going to be cards, so I'm not talking about a lot of money here, but I just was wondering if anyone has any insight on this. I also run my own company and have already gone through all that legal stuff for myself, so I'm trying to avoid it this time around.
One more question... I do have a paypal acct. I use for my own business but I want to set up a new one for the etsy shop to keep the income separate. Will I myself have to pay taxes and claim this money as income when I do my taxes? I'm not going to be keeping any of the profit. I will just print the cards, be the contact person, send out orders, and then send my sister checks. So... is this possible? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!!
Anyone have any ideas as to where to buy industrial, or 3mm wool felt? I've been searching online like crazy for this stuff and am only coming up with $75/yd. as the best price. I started using the eco-spun felt (made from recycled water bottles) for my bags, but it's just too think. I need the really heavy stuff. plz halp?
Hi all.. I just ran out of this fabric and don't know how to find more because I don't have any idea of the designer!! Can anyone recognize this fabric? What its called and who makes it? Or have you seen it in any online store? I need to buy more asap. Its a cotton canvas. Thanks in advance!
I do vaguely remember a thread here about shipping orders, but I did a search and came up with nada, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.. anyway, I have a big international shipping dilema! My packages weigh about 4-5lb each, and it costs anywhere from $25, to $40 to ship a package outside the US. (via USPS).. my problem is that once the package arrives at the customers nearest Post Office, it's usually held until they go there to pick it up and pay a large customs fee, and a discharge fee. All in all, the shipping for the buyer is coming out to be absolutely outrageous, something like $90-$100. This is insane, and I'm going to lose my international buyers if I don't come up with a solution.
I know that if you mark a package as a gift there will be no fee on their end, but I can't do that, so there just has to be another alternative. Any suggestions?? All help is greatly appreciated!
