23  camo bag from long sleeve in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by yunnie on: November 21, 2005 01:14:47 AM
my brother was in the army and when he 'graduated' he didnt know what to do with his uniform so he gave it to me seeing that i love camo so much.

so i started out with a big collared long sleeve camo shirt with pockets. so i cut off the long sleeves cos i wanted to turn it into a short sleeve shirt dress kinda thing. after making the shirt dress thingy, i was left with the remaining sleeves that i cut out so i made a bag with it.

its my first time ever making a bag. and also first time ever making a bag using a sewing machine. so its my virgin post in this section. i'm quite pleased with it, turned out better than i thought it would. i used a grey strap thing cos i didnt have enough camo material to make a strap. the interior is fully lined. i concealed the joints at the sides so that it wouldnt fray. took me 2 days to make it.

please tell me what you guys think  Smiley

can you see the 2 mini pleats?

the top part was from the end of the sleeves. it already had the buttons and that tab thing on the right, so i made use of it to kinda erm add detail.  Cheesy

24  ressurection: old school sandals in Shoes: Completed Projects by yunnie on: November 21, 2005 12:58:22 AM
old school sandals from last year left to die on shoerack.... so i added some life to it by putting some glittery stuff to it.  Smiley its actually just nail polish. what i did was first i cleaned the leather sandals with nail polish remover, then i sloshed on about 2 layers of glittery nail polish, left it to dry, then sloshed on another 2 layers of clear polish and left it to dry overnight. doesnt look that great but well i was bored  Tongue

hope i upload the pics properly. cant really see it well from the pics cos of the flash. what do you guys think? my first post on craftster, pls be kind hehe.
