I think pink is my new favorite color.  I think everyone should have a pink shirt.  It's just such a happy color!  Anyway, I had 2 white shirts that were way too short.  So I cut out the middle of one and put it in the other, then I dyed the shirt pink and painted "love" on the front and the little heart/cross thing on the back...  It came out alright, I'm not as pleased as I was hoping.  But it's pink so that rocks, and I love the reaction that people have when they see it.  C'mon, what guy wears a pink shirt that says love?

Alright, so I did a swap with my friend that I was with last semester in England (I'm in Japan now).  Anyway, she sent me this awesome awesome yarn that I turned into a beanie.  I still have some left over so i think i may make something small to send back to her as a little extra thanks...

Anyway I wanted something that was big enough for all my hair.  I have young dreads so I needed a beanie like that.  The results:



It's not the greatest picture but it does the job.

I never tend to make something and leave it as is.  I'm always changing and adding to everything I own.  In this case I made this bag and couldn't leave it alone...

The stencil took me forever to make because I usually work on a million projects at once.  It turned out way better than I expected though.  I'm so happy with it.

I got the package today!  I love everything so much.  I sent mine off today, hopefully she likes.  Anyway, without further ado, the loot:

M. J. Starr was never very interested in creating books.  Only writing in them.  His interest in creating a book from scratch was sparked just after he bought a plane ticket to Japan.  As he studies abroad he wanted something unique where he could throw all his thoughts, scribbles, and pictures.  He knew just the thing to do.  Make it himself.  Starting by making paper from cardboard, newspaper, grass, and flowers.  Moving on to binding it with hemp, and finishing it off with a cover he had his first book!  The perfect journal to keep his memories of Japan.  Pictures of the said book follow:

The last bag that Mr. Starr attempted was knitted and turned into the hat in his photo off to the left.  His head was now warm, but he still had no place to put his few belongings, which consist of his current books, pipe, and writing utensils.  Holding true to the message of his life, that of peace and total pacifism, he decided it was time to embrace the symbol of nuclear disarmament, originally used in Britain by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (duh), and adorn his most recent project with the aforementioned symbol.  The bag itself took him under two hours to create, as it was a simple idea.  The embroidery however took him just under four hours, as it was his first time ever doing anything of the sort.  The results follow:

One late night one Mr. Dorian Starr was out with his friends when knitting iPod cases came up in conversation.  Dorian went on to point out the rising fad of creating iPod cases.  He noted that it would be much more impressive if someone made sleeves for their headphones.  Not those silly little things that make headphones look like ear muffs.  "If that's the look they want, that's fine.  But if I make something for my iPod it will have the class that an iPod demands," Dorian said.  A few days later he decided to take himself up on the challenge and make something worthy of an iPod.  His results are as follows.
