1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Need help with ideas for an untraditional Self-portrait on: May 05, 2006 12:38:19 PM
In Grade 11 art everyone has to do an untraditional self-portrait. The project is open to most ideas and mediums you want to use but has to have min 3-5 hours work put in to it.

My problem is i want to do something using fabric but how and what type of fabric to use. I'd like to incorporate painting/leaves/beads into whatever ideas I can come up with or that you guys on this forum can help me with.

My original idea was to take a long scarf is started to make out of fleece and sew pictures, add stitching of words and things i like or dislike but I'm not sure how strong an idea that is seeing i don't know how to embroider, I'm not the greatest hand sewer but on the other hand a making a quilt or something would be a good idea as well but kind of complex for me.

Thanks  Smiley
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / First stuffed Animal on: March 05, 2006 06:46:24 PM
I made this for my friends birthday back in October. It was susposed to be a tiger but didn't quite turn out looking like one but it's the thought that counts, I guess.

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My First Post of my Bags. Feedback please! on: March 05, 2006 06:19:59 PM
Here are two recent bags i've made.
Feedback is important to me because I want to start moving on to do some bags with details and other stuff. Most of my bags don't have flaps or closures on them.
