Hi fellow craftsters !
Every year my family hosts a Halloween party. This year, our theme was Harry Potter, which was very exciting for me, being a big HP fan. Here are some pictures of what we did. I've been working on this for the last 3 weeks and everyone (especially the kids) loved it so it was worth it! : )
The decorations
The entranceMy front door was Platform 9 ¾
The dining roomPumpkin lights, fallen leaves, an old candlestick and a Marauder’s Map that my friend brought me back from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Hogwarts and 4 houses banners
The bathroomThe bathroom was decorated in a Chamber of Secrets theme

Pigwidgeon, someone’s hand and Trevor; the spiders escaping from the basilisk and of course, Moaning Myrtle
The living roomScabbers!

Snape’s Potion Cabinet: Pepperup Potion, Felix Felicis, Wolfsbane Potion, Bubotuber Pus, Veritaserum and Essence of Dittany

The food
Mummy Pigs in a Blanket

Halloween Empanadas (just some regular empanadas, the dough is like that because of food coloring)

Spiderweb Soup

Owl cookies

Chocolate and pumpkin cake

The games
The sorting ceremonyWe made little house badges for everyone, which would determine the teams for the other games we played. When the guest arrived, they each drew a badge from the Sorting Hat.
Harry Potter QuizWe asked Hp trivia questions and the team that had the most points at the end won the “house cup” (my sister’s old cheerleading trophy) filled with “galleons” (chocolate-covered dollars). Fittingly, Ravenclaw won this one.
Guess the characterGuests had a character’s name stuck on their forehead and they had to guess who it was by asking yes or no questions.
(Not pictured) Potion makingWe had a variety of juice and alcohol on a table and the guest could mix them up to make their own “potion”.
