i bookmarked this when you first posted this...i still love it and i am absolutely going to make myself one after christmas!!! it is so fabulous and inspiring...do you happen to remember how much of the fleece it took for your skirt? (i am going to buy the fabric on sale before i have a chance to figure out the pattern)...and did you use a pattern for the top layer?....
the sad thing is, is that i wish i had it now and its not even really cold yet (i am such a freeze baby)
i'm curious about what you all do when a project that is intended to be a gift turns out less than perfect? i have only been sewing for 2 years...and sometimes things turn out less than perfect (lining shrunk when iron - i tiny bit of bunching... top stitching not quite straight/even) .... but money only affords to purchase supplies once....so its slightly imperfect or no gift....
my mom and husband says give it anyway...i feel a little bad....
those are great....i have been promising to make my son a squid but so far all my whales (he's into ocean animals) have kind of turned out wonky...and i have not gotten up the guts to try the squid, you did a super job!
hi! i want to make some matching tutu's and one of them will be for a little one...so i am looking for somewhere that i can buy a load of tulle without breaking the bank, but i need it to be soft (not scratchy) ... can anyone point me in a good direction? (im assuming that on online store will be my best bet, but im worried that ill end up with the scratchy stuff).... id really appreciate any suggestions!
